Ok, here's the video.. somewhat underwhelming. Of course not without annoying commentary too.

Fill that void with a catch can.

Only pic I have of mine currently.

They still make LS1 catch cans? Remember this is an '00, don't think I'm going to need one until I do an intake manifold (didn't they start becoming popular with the LS6/LS2/LS3 PCV systems?). That may be a while; next thing I'm probably going to touch would be suspension and bushings. Def bushings before long.

Yep $100. There is no LS series motor that wouldn't see a benefit from running one, and IIRC the LS1 PCV system is the worst performing one of the bunch. A lot of people swap to the LS6 setup. I'm not sure what your talking about the intake manifold having to do with the catch can, it's all routed the same in the in end.

Was looking into Holley Valve covers that allow for direct bolt on coils rather than using brackets. It was looking like the LS2/LS6ified LS1s had the PCV lines going into the manifold.. not the TB.

Hmm, still have to weld up my cutout and pick up a cutout valve so maybe that'll be in the making while I put up money for a truck.

Mine has always ran into the manifold, even with the LS1 intake. The lines to the TB are different from my understanding.

Why do you want to get rid of the brackets? I have a '98 and the direct bolt on coils is a PITA when you want to remove all of them.

Would look a bit cleaner, probably just relocate em since the ls1 pack bolt spacing isn't 72mm like every other lsx after it. Blah.

I agree. If you want to do anything with the coils, buy a relocation kit to get them off the valve covers. Otherwise, you're still going to be annoyed when working on them -- and still have the clutter.

As for the PCV, I agree that you can at least start with the catch can. Once you get a LS6 intake, do the LS6 PCV conversion. Both are on my list for my winter mods.

Hmm.. may just trim down the bracket or build my own. Looked into some relocation ideas and I'm not diggin' em much over stock. Eh.

Been doing some thinking and I think taking a pause after mounts and the cutout would be the best avenue. See what the market looks like for a full size K series GM pickups.

Enjoy what I have for now, clean it up some more..

Black should look alright on your color. Anything will be better than those 16"s, though!
