Nutro Guide!

Tools needed:

1. 10mm Socket with small 4" extension.
2. Long nosed needle-nose pliers.
3. Panel clip pliers (Optional)
4. Claw tool (Optional)
5. Your favorite brand of quick detailer and a clean towel.

The first thing I did was get my tools ready. You will need a 10mm socket to remove the six (6) nuts holding the factory spoiler on. The nuts are seen here behind these black rubber plugs towards the ends. There are (2) on the left and (2) on the right.

Left:

Right:

Here I am removing the black rubber plugs:

And here is what it will look like after all of the four (4) rubber plugs are removed:

Left:

Right:

You will also need to remove the black plastic push pins to access the two (2) interior nuts. I bought this tool at Harbor Freight for $10 and it works great. You DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE THEM but they work great! They are called Panel clip pliers:

Here I am removing the plastic push pins with the tool:

And removed:

There are around 10 total on that interior trunk panel but I only removed the top most 4 of them. You just need to remove enough to pull back the cover a little to get to these inside two (2) nuts seen here:

and

You should loosen and remove four (4) of the nuts and leave one (1) per side a little loose. I chose to leave the outermost nuts on finger tight.

*Be sure to NOT lose the nuts down inside the trunk lid when removing. I used a small claw grabber to remove them while on the last few threads and it works great. If you don't have a claw tool, just take your time and the nuts will come out cupped inside of the 10mm socket*

Once you have removed the four (4) inner nuts and have the two (2) outermost nuts loose, you will need to pop a clip through the top of the trunk lid. This is why we left the two (2) outermost nuts on finger tight.

Reach up into the trunk lid to access the white plastic bullet clip seen just to the left of the hole here:

You can use a flat-tipped screwdriver to push each end of the pin in while pulling up gently on the spoiler to catch it and hold it while you slowly remove the two (2) outermost nuts we left finger tight.

The easiest way to push the clip through is to use some long nosed needlenose pliers, especially if you have the long nosed pliers that are angled at the ends.

The stock trunk lid is now removed!~

This is what you're left with:

To install the Unrestricted Motorsports Dovetail Spoiler we will want to clean the trunk lid where the old spoiler was mounted. Once the surface is clean, we will move forward with the install.

Carefully set the Unrestricted Motorsports Spoiler onto the trunk lid and adjust so there is an equal gap on the Left and Right side of the quarter panel and ensure that the spoiler is flush against the trunk lid.

While holding the spoiler, open the trunk lid enough to access the bolt holes.

Using a pencil, mark the bottom side of the spoiler through the factory bolt holes.

Remove the spoiler and re-install it to verify your markings are correct.

Remove the spoiler again and set on work bench or other hard surface with some kind of cushion underneath it.

You will want to pre-drill the (6) marked holes with a 1/16" drill bit.

Spray soapy water onto the trunk lid liberally.

Remove the red protective film from the adhesive pieces on bottom side of the spoiler.

Optional: use some clear silicone around the factory holes in the trunk lid to seal those openings.

Once the spoiler is placed onto the trunk lid. Position it so you can see the drilled holes through the factory bolt hole locations.

Using the (6) supplied self tapping screws, screw the spoiler down to the trunk lid. Be careful NOT to over tighten the screws as they could pull through the embedded metal strip.

Once all of the screws are tightened, re-assemble the push pins and latch guide. Re-install all of the plugs into the factory holes and enjoy your new Unrestricted Motorsports Dovetail Spoiler!

And VOILA!!

Can you provide 1-2 more photos of the space between the rear fenders and the spoiler and it goes off the trunk?

I'd possibly be interested but I am curious as in the space between it and the body first.

Looking at it I'd def, put some on just for those "incase" times.

Absolutely, we wish we had photos in other colors as it would stand out much more. The notch in the middle matches up nicely with the lines on the roof. Really sharp looking.

That is what I have been looking for!!!

I want to confirm that that spoiler is a ONE piece spoiler...
Could you post a pic of the trunk open from the rear of the car...
When it was stated that they were going to send CLEAR-BRA with them, would that be used to protect the corners of the fenders from vibrations while driving and closing of the trunk...

This is a one piece spoiler! Will get a pic tomorrow! As for the clear-bra there is currently no use for them, it is simply an added safety protection that some customers desire. The 1/8'' gap to 1/4'' gap is sufficient all around with no sign of rubbing.
