We usually hang pretty close to the campus and cruise around from there--there is a Walmart across from St. Joesph....

Scott,
We had such a nice time with you and your family. It was such a joy to see your camaro pull up at McDonalds. I told Kathy I knew that was you by the awesome look of the car.
I will post pix tomorrow...The weather did an about-face for us tonight. The crowds were big and the cars were out in droves....Kurt ABL99....

BTW....love the sound of the pace car....just can't beat a good sounding cam......

Thanks Scott for the kind words....As the pictures show, the cars look like they belong together. Let's do more cruises together. I will try to get the "First Born '68" involved as well.

BTW, Might want to keep July 28, 29 open for a cruise on the 28th and the Spirit of Monticello Car Show on the 29th. Both will be around the courthouse in Monticello....We'll be having our car cruise-in and car show for the Spirit of Monticello Festival. This will be Saturday, July 28th for the cruise-in and Sunday, July 29th for the car show. We'll have all of the Festival, arts and craft booths along with all the food booths too and plenty of great live music.
This is a great time for the whole family....Kurt...ABL99....

Thank-you to everyone!!

I had some time to visit our build thread, listen to some music by MercyMe & Casting Crowns. I thought this would be a wonderful time to reflect on my past. This has been an adventure that I have so enjoyed bringing it to everyone. I can hardly believe all the kind words from every visitor. Camaro5.com has been such great place to spend time and make special friends....
As I have said before, Mom and Dad would have been so happy just reading the stories and enjoying all the pictures. My Mother would have had a ball "riding shotgun". Her comment of "Okay, let's see what this thing has" and her telling me to "slow it down" after staging it off...would have been priceless!!
Now--the grin on Dad's face would have told his story. I remember him telling me, when he was an Indiana State Trooper, he loved it when the "kids" would attempt to outrun him...in the late 60s to the early 70s, he had some serious "muscle" under him. The police cars were essentially race cars wrapped in white/blue. They commanded respect--and got it... I wanted to add some pictures of Mom and Dad....I love you both so much!

Thanks again to everyone. It has been a "trip" to say the least!

Kurt and Kathy Keller
ABL99....

Sunday's Car/Truck/Bike Show

Sunday bought out the best. The Car Show had at least 135 entries. I am glad I did not have to judge the competition....it had to be brutal... Hats off to Ken Prieboy and his staff for an amazing show and a wonderful time. I met interesting people and everyone had a different story to tell....

Many awards were given. I was very fortunate to come home with a Top 10 trophy for my class. The 2010 ABL99 was in Late Model...mostly competed with newer Corvettes. The only other than the 'Vettes was a white Shelby and ABL99....

Been to many cruises but this was our first judged show this year...seem to forget how much fun you have and the friendships you create....Let's face it, fellowship is what it is all about anyway...I simply love to watch the expressions on the faces of "first-time winners"!....

Please enjoy the photos.....Kurt...ABL99....

Thanks Eddy,
I so appreciate your taking the time to visit our build and working your way through the whole thing! I have had a great time not only doing most of the work, but bringing the results to the thread.
I have just finished the Camaro shoot with both the 2010 and the 1968 with Brittanie's senior pictures. I should have them posted in a few days. I must say that she makes the cars look soooo much better than they actually are!!..

Thanks again....Kurt ABL99...

It never stops!!

We were talking with some friends that have a 2010 IOM 2SS with black Rally Stripes. It is a real looker, I must say. Darryl Hatke asked last week if he could come by the house. He wanted to take a cruise in his car. Of course, I couldn't wait for him to show up. Well, he and I got to doing the "man cave thing"---you know...a grunt here and a grunt there--- and before we knew it, he told me he really liked the wheels I had on my ride. He advised me if I ever wanted to sell the wheel/tire combo, let him know....I just could not resist his offer. I called him next day and asked him if he wanted to come over on Saturday, we could at least put them on his car to check it out....as the pictures reveal, the rest is history.
The rest of the story is that Jackson saw me removing HIS wheels and tires. He asked me what I was doing to his "Maro". I told him that Darryl might want to buy them and that we needed to put the old ones back on. Well, he was not a happy camper as one could imagine....Papa messin' with his "Maro" just would not work!!... I finally convinced him along with Darryl's help that we would order some new ones for HIS ride. He was okay with that right up to the time that Darryl left town with his wheels and tires?!?!? He said as Darryl drove away...."I want my wheels back!"
Well...we have a set on order with Jon at BestWheelDeals.com....Should satisfy him...I hope?!?!?!. I must say, "They look pretty sweet on his ride with the IOM and the Black accents!!......Kurt ABL99....

Photo Shoot as I promised!

As I promised some time ago, Kathy and I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Brittanie Babb's senior pictures. She wanted to have some done with both Camaros. We finally found a location at the Monticello City Park. The summer has been so dry, I was not sure if they would turn out. Well, after looking and examining, I think she might just like them. I might add that a very pretty girl sure makes the Camaros seem so much better!!...
I hope everyone enjoys them as much as we did taking them.

Kurt and Kathy Keller.....ABL99....

Yes this car should have been COTW a long time ago, i have seen no one put as much personal touches small yet subtle with care as this build thread! Every mod has been well planned and thought out and that's what makes this car a definite COTW future winner for sure!

I would have to say these is some of the nicest words anyone has spoken on this thread....and Tim, that is saying something!!! Many have said great things and I appreciate them all.....
Thanks for the vote of confidence on COTW. It has just avoided my ride for others that are well deserved. As I have stated before, "They have quite the task of choosing COTW".
I would so much like the honor!! Hopefully, the judges will look at our ride and like what they see....

BTW----Our new wheels and tires have shipped and hopefully arrive on 9/5/12.......Can't wait...not sure if ABL99 will have the power to "rip" these!!! Oh well, at least Jackson will again love his "Maro".

Sincerely...Kurt...ABL99....
