"Palisades" - Blacked Out 2012 Camaro 2SS/RS Build Thread

I bought my 2012 black Camaro 2SS/RS at the end of November of 2011 for my 32nd birthday. It has always been a dream of mine to mod a muscle car. The decision to buy a Camaro was a no brainer. I am all Chevy until the day I die! The only thing that was not stock about the car was a factory installed Hurst short throw shifter. I get my car back tomorrow with some new mods done to it. I'll try and post the pictures of the mods tomorrow with a good camera. I took two pictures of my Camaro with my iPhone the day I bought it. They are the only two pics I have of it bone stock. They are not very good but they show what I was starting with. Here you go . . .

Sneak Peak of the New Rims, Brake Light Bezels, Rear Emblem, and Side Marker Lights

I will post more pics after I detail her next weekend but here is a couple of shots. The brake light bezels were wrapped, the SS emblem Painted, the wheels powder coated, and the side marker lights tinted really dark. Everything was done Satin Black. Once I get my exhaust, the tips will be powder coated as well. I would love to hear what people think.

Thanks for the support Camaro_Krazee!!! Yes, I am going to have to dig very deep in my pockets for this stuff. LOL! Luckily I have a supportive wife.
More pics to come soon . . .

Hahahaha . . . the option of playing tunes with the door open is nice! The main reason I want it is to be able to work on the car with the door open and keys in the ignition and yes, with the option of music playing. The list was just a rough draft of ideas. I really hope to do most of them though. I really like your rims by the way ANGELSPEEDFREAK!!!!! They are really sick!!! Who makes them?

It was kind of hard getting the stock plug fittings out of the intake manifold and engine.

1 Week Old Catch Can!!!!!!!!!

For all those that questioned the need for a Catch Can, this should settle it!!!
That little bit of oil at the bottom of the Catch Can was accumulated in less than a week! Now times that by 48 and that's how much oil will be getting dumped into your intake manifold each year! Elite Engineering rocks and I am definitely ordering my oil breather for the other 10% very soon!

Thanks chvyboss!!!!

I put my catch can on around 1,000 miles, maybe earlier. My opinion is that it's the best new car mod you can do. I have 3,000 now and I just checked the catch can last night. I will take a picture of it because there is so much oil in it.

Since my pedal install post I have installed 1 7/8 dynatech headers with hi flow cats to 2 1/2 stock cat back. I have my DMH electric low pro cutouts in the garage waiting to be put on a borla touring cat back exhaust but now I am kinda digging the stock cat backs sound with the dynatech headers. I might just put the cutouts right on the oem pipes and keep the oem cat back. Am I crazy?! I also just installed the heritage grille black and a street scene lower grille to match it. It looks sick! I already received my SLP mail slot delete and my MPD1 Z force hood, spoiler, rear smooth panel, and CAI will be here Thursday!!! I will take pics of everything next weekend and post!

Nice car! Have you considered picking up a scoop to go with your CAI? Apex\JRE\ADM all make them.

I added one to my car and it makes a difference!

Need to take some time and get some better pics! Most of your pictures are funny angles and super grainy.
