Ive been at 4B00 ( bayed with carrier) for 3 weeks now, that was the last time I checked. My dealer was invoiced so they gave me the invoice to get the loan, which I did - More than 3 weeks ago.

Where the hell is my car????????

And why are they sitting on trucks at the carriers?

GM - You want my money? Bring me the damn car!

If I have to wait much longer I am going to buy something else.

There is no excuse for our cars to be sitting on trucks collecting dust.

Fbodfather - What is going on here?

Halifax:

I was told by my Dealer in Truro that my car would build the week of April 20th and that delivery would likely be May 14.

Today is exactly one month. Lets see if waiting a month to ship was the plan. I am hoping they start moving this weekend.

Well since i can't figure out how to start my own thread i will say it here. I think for all pre ordered camaros that gm should give us a free upgrade for takeing so long.

now reason for saying this is why did they let you order your car and make you wait 7 months. what they should have done is waited till they knew when they were going to start production and a month or two before have you put in your order.. for example they said you can order in october i think it was well i know i ordered mine on 11/14/08 and it is now 4/16/09 and they are now saying the car will be released in 5/6/09. i may have this wrong but shouldn't the pre ordered cars be the first on the road?

so for us waiting gm should give all of us one option that we want for free for example, upgraded wheels, upgraded system, rs package anything along those lines for free and no floor mats they pay like 20 bucks for them so that wont cut it. and you know my g/f works for mercedes and there cars are shipped over seas and they are delivered on time so whats gm's excuse for not haveing them delivered early in the us.

with my g/f a lady came in order the new glk like we are the camaro they put in the order car was made then they told the lady it will be here in a week something happend it took another week so they gave her a nav system for free. its called customer satisfaction which gm should think about cause i know alot of people are getting mad that they are not communicating with us. so what do you think.

time line

No offense but, I believe GM has not waivered from it's timeline very much. They promised new car production by the first quarter of 2009. Maybe their a few weeks behind schedule?? Not defending GM but based on evidence, there dosen't seem to a undue delay. Like you I too am anxious to get my car. Soon brother soon. We'll both have what we are looking for soon. I guess my 550lb 167 HP motorcyle will have to do for now. My bike is faster than any Camaro could ever be BUT---it's not a Camaro!!!!!!!!! Let's go GM , I want my SS!!!!!

I don't diagree, and as a matter of fact will be asking for just that when the car arrives. I am told another 3 weeks now....was built on March24th. It is a bit much to expect as other later built cars are rolling in to dealerships now.

I'm probalby just venting.......it's hard to continue being patient.

Hey Juicy, I just got off the phone with GM Customer service and got the same story...my car has been built but could be anothr 4-6 weeks before I take delivery. They couldn't tell me what the hold up was. I still don't have my VIN either and would really like to get it so I can order my plates.

According to my salesperson, his District Manager told him they were going to do a bulk release, what ever that means.

Build Time

With delays and "holds", etc. does anyone know what the actual build time from start to finish is? Thanks.

Same with me.. My CSR at GM Canada just called and told me mine was built and it's in the parking holding lot in Oshawa. She said there is a delay (HOLDING)for ALL of the Camaros in CANADA and did not have a delivery date. She didn't want to give me my Vin#.

I put this question to All, but trying to get an idea from the Canucks. How long from the time you finalized the deal, did it take to get your order pulled and start the process?

GM Canada is being quite painful with this whole process. My car is also on a quality hold having been built the week of March 23 2009. If you look at the shipped vins on the rail thread there are at least three Camaros in transit to Canadian dealers. Two showing arrival on April 24 2009 at Edmonton rail yard and one showing imminent arrival in the Maritimes. Yes I don't mind that they are fixing whatever is wrong with the cars built already, however the District Managers for GM in Western Canada at least don't have a clue what is going on. My 2009 ZR1 order was not pulled for production (stuff happens) but I learned three weeks before my dealer this was the case through the Museum in Bowling Green, and when they did tell me they also stated that no dealers had gotten any Zr1 and argued with me when I pointed out that I personally had seen two at dealers and sat in one of them in Edmonton in the Fall of 2008.

Like I said above I get quality holds I don't understand why they are not up to speed on orders and accurate information that is readily availble elsewhere.

Ok I'm done ranting
