Removing Dealer sticker/decal from the Camaro?

Hey Guys I'm just curious if you know how to remove the dealer decal/stick from the back of your Camaro? I'm sure you're going to want the dealer symbol gone from your car.

I have one on my cobalt and I'm afraid im gonna take off the paint if i just rip it off. Note it's a soft kind of plastic sticker thing, any advice?

Advice... Tell your dealer you want them left off from the get go. If for some reason they end up on the car anyways, remove them asap befor the sticker really settles in. Now a days, they are usually just vinyl decals, or stick on plastic logo

Take it off early for sure if its on there when you get it. I've used a hair dryer before to gently warm it up so less of the "goo" gets left on the paint. Usually only takes a few seconds of warmth to get the sticker loose enough to pull right off with minimal residue left on the paint. What's left can be simply rubbed off with a chamois or other semi-wet cloth.

WD40 and a hair dryer. Won't hurt the paint at all

yeah... as SOON as i got my MONTE SS home that was the 1st thing i did.
it was literally just vinyl... and most of it peeled off nicely. then, i gingerly got the adhesive off with a litte goo-gone or something else that was not harmful to the paint... it was easy and worked great.

i
HATE
the look of a car with the dealer decals and badges STILL ON.

Just ask them not to put it on. I have on every new car I have bought (4 cars) and no one has ever told me no. I suppose if they did, I would ask they pay me $100 a month for advertising on my car and see what they say.

Just tell them ahead of time that you don't want it on at all. No big deal. I requested this from my dealer, and he said they won't do that anyways and they treat the Camaro differently thatn other cars. Nice to hear

What? You must not follow the redneck manual. I would drive with it for like a year just to show off the sticker.

And yes... I have done that before.

Just rip it right off....it seems scary, but seriously, it will pop right off. I did it plenty of times.

The past cars I've purchased I have asked them to not put it on. Some get alittle pissy but just tell them you will use there dealer plate frame and that satifies them. if not I've heard the blow dryer works well. Friend uses it to remove his registration sticker from his boat every year!

Ask them not to put one on. If they are worth their salt in customer service, they won't make a big deal about it and they won't put one on.

If they do put one on after you've asked them nicely not to, before you hand them the check and sign the paperwork tell them to take it off or you are not buying the car. And make sure you tell them they are 100% responsible for any damage to the paint or metal if they damage it while taking it off.

If it comes to removing a 5 cent sticker or loosing a $30k sale, believe me, they will do a very meticulous job at removing your sticker.
