You can find step by step instructions on here but its honestly not hard at all. Takes 15 minutes to the get the front fascia off, not even. Just take the front wheels off. Take the 2 clips out in each wheel well for the liners and then there is 3 bolts on each side that bolt the fascia to the fenders. 6 clips under the hood that pop out and 2 bolts that bolt the fascia to the frame ad bam. Pop it off, exchange the grilles and lights and you're good to go

So now I've read I'd have to modify the curves on the top of the bumper cover to match my SS hood. Is it that big a difference that its noticeable?

Some may notice, some may not. All of us here on this thread will see it because we know what to look for. Far away no one wil notice, up close they will be noticed by some.

How hard is the modification? Do you have to build up the lines to match the cowl or cut them down?

As long as you have the factory DRL you remove those from your stock bumper and put them in the ZL1 bumper you will need to either make up a wiring harness for the ZL1 fogs (fogs come with the kit) or buy the wiring harness from Ofer (2SSRS) this is what I did my wiring harness arrived on Saturday took all of 5 minutes to install.

Chill Out. Like anyone going to skim through 102 pages, really. Its okay, you don't have to worry about. Someone else is usually nice to help.

I'm just saying if you're really interested in this mod you really do need to read through alot of things that have been gone over in detail, much of it more than once because people don't feel like reading. This & a couple of other threads have been really good at looking into different options in how far you want do go with this mod & what's needed and where to go every step of the way.

ZL1 Replica Fiberglass Hood For Sale ...
All -
I know I should formally post this somewhere - but had several PM's on my hood within this thread and wanted to toss an FYI out there. I have replaced here with an actual ZL1 Hood and sold my house to do it )) However - as a result I have this up for sale and ready to ship (which will likely be via freight how hoods seem to have to go). Great hood - excellent fit (as good as ZL1 hood) - but MATCHES SS LINES FYI! (although was not a big deal at least to me) - Need to remove drip pan for Maggie Install - Primed / Prep'd would just need a color change. PM me if interested. If no other snags I will post elsewhere or on eBay. Thx ![]() Quote:
