Brand new ones damaged? Just did not want to open the hood, and everyone point out that it says ZL1 on there.

Checked all the wiring today all 4 lights are lighting up! Thank you for both harnesses! You made it easy! Also installed the brake coolers onto the lower grille. Monday I will put the car on the lift and see how the fitting goes for the lower air deflector/belly pan. Hoping to have everything painted on Friday. Pictures to follow!! Picture of first part of brake coolers on the grille. I attached some pictures of my P13 Plasmas. Instead of cutting the female connecter, I cut the bulb connector one it was pretty easy.

Problem I have with the center air duct part. It doesn't have the mount to mount the air temperature sensor. I assume they are located somewhere else on the ZL1s I just can't find it in my parts book or software. Im thinking I can cut my old one off and plastic weld it on to the new center duct. Maybe you will have better luck finding it.
I also had to trim the left back corner slightly for it to fit properly.

I know I can get an aftermarket hood but I really want a steel or aluminum hood. Does anyone see a vendor making just the insert in the future? |

Lower air deflector/belly pan is installed now. I had to do some cutting so it can fit with my Kooks headers. I also had to drill some holes into the cradle then put screws to hold it in place. I thought it was going to be a direct fit, minus the cutting. I did not get pictures, but if I get it back on the lift ill snap a few pictures.
Going to spray the underside of the hood tomorrow IOM.

How slightly different is this going to be? There are quite a few waiting for alternatives to the expensive OEM's CF inserts. Want mine to clear a Maggie

I don't have the info, but from reading posts by 2SSRS, RAYS and JSHARP, the bottom parts of the insert (for channeling water forward to the radiator) at the throttle body needs about 0.5 to 1.0 inch????

Yes I would say an inch would be good. you just need to get your air intake tube going south asap when it comes off the lip of the throttle body. The quicker it dives the better clearance you will have. Then you fab up something on the other end to turn it back into the filter tube. I used two 45 degree couples one on each end and trimmed them to get it to dive quicker. So maybe more like a 50to60 degree coupler would be ideal.
