Vinyl Wrapping Stock Spoiler???

Hey guys, I need opinions on either to vinyl wrap my spoiler in flat/matte black to match the rest of my blackout or not to do it??? what do you guys think??? Since some of you know, I am replacing the factory stripes and this one will be going over the spoiler and ending in the back. I have added some pictures for those of you that do not know what my car looks like and get a better idea.Name: 100_7645.JPG

ok so as you guys know, I was gonna work on my factory stripeson sunday. I got to it. did the spoilers and the trunk.. it came out great. I am loving this color more and more every day.. but when I started the hood. I had an accident and ruined one side. Trying to get the hood cowl is a B***... Ordered a replacement so now I have to wait.. where did you guys get stripes installed?? i went to to vinyl places and they wont do it because if they screw up they cant replace them.. I got some help in tips and advice from one guy but I am leaning more to allowing someone who has done this before do it. IDK.. I really want to do it myself to be able to say that I installed all my vinyl but I dont wanna mess up again.. I guess lots people have trouble with the hood cowl for vinyls...

Julian sorry to hear about the stripes. Stacy is really unique and you can see how much hard work you have put into her. Try Abe at Accurate window tinting he did my ride and they have a clean shop and they do good work . It is only 5 minutes from the base. If he can't do it Paul in Wilmington specializes in vinyl, wrapz.net and he can do it at sound of tri state across from olive garden.

Ok. I might have to go by there tom and get a quote.. I am so tempted to do it myself. well see depending on the price of install, I might just do it myself and get the experience. I have been thinking that even if I ruined it a couple of times but the price is less of equal as I was going to pay for install, why not do it until I get it correctly.. I want to be able to do this.. well see..

ok so as I said, I got some vinyl to practice doing the hood cowl to see if I could get it. I tried three times using a different method of squeeguing out the application fluid and the first attemp was a wayyy better than when I did the stripes. This time I was able to get it all install but with like 2 lines on the vinyl.. second attemp was better. was able to the top, middle and most of the bottom minus the very very bottom. But I think I had trouble cuz I was too wide of a vinyl. Anyways, The Third time was the winning attemp. I was able to install part of the flat part and the hood cowl with no problems at all.. no bubbles or lines or anything.. So I am encouraged to do this myself. Hopefully I will work perfect..

I guess our thread is slowly dying... ok I have a questions for your guys that have been in delaware longer and know how this work.. I heard about the Trade-in Credit that the DMV gives you when yoou trade in a delaware registered vehicle to buy another one. how does this work??

Here is my situation: Im going to be getting my wife a new car and trading in the current one. it is registered here in delaware. The enw car will be bought out of state (MD). I do owe some monye on the car but the trade in value for it will cover more than what I owe. What do I have to do to get that trade in credit so my new document fee (3.75%) to register the new car is less. From what I got from reading, it decreases the value of the new car by the trade in of the old so that percent that they take is less. Any help???
Oh yeah, What about vanity plates?? do I have to first get a regular plate and then order the vanity or can I order the vanity right since the beginning upon registration?

Thank you guys,

Thank you guys,

Yeah, it should reduce the amount you owe on the new car by the amount they gave you for the old car just the car not the trade allowance total the discount is not included. When you go in to DMV to get your title and registration done they will take the information off of the sale paperwork. Not sure if doing the deal out of state will affect it or not I've never done that. You can call the title section and ask.....744-2530 I believe is the direct number to titles.

You will need to get your regular tags first and then order the Vanity tag. The regular tag will have to be kept in the vehicle at all times.

Anyone know of a machine shop that can port TBs? I wanted to see how much it would save me just to do my own instead of ordering one off here.

Talk to 96MrBass, I think he said he had it done....don't think he was that impressed by the results (probably not worth the $ vs. any gains). I know there are a few shops up around Philly that do it....thats quite a haul from Dover especially if you have to go up and back twice.
