Buick Regal GS?

Hey guys, wonder if anyone has looked at the new Regal GS's? They look badass. It's got me thinking LOL

They look awesome. Haven't seen one in person yet but they got a great write-up in the paper recently. 270hp and great Opel styling; not bad.

If only it were AWD or RWD I'd be sold.

You mean the 300hp awd Euro version?

The new GS is a nice ride for a DD but I wouldn't go as far as calling it bad ass especially since it cant even match the acceleration from the last GS back in the 90's.

Bingo. I like it all except the lackluster straightline performance. C&D tested it recently and it ran like a 15.2 in the 1/4 mile. My old GTP (same as last GS) ran 15.0 stock rated at 30 less HP. that said I know the GS would run circles around it in handing and build quality, but when a Camry SE V6 can totally tromp in acceleration, and a Camry Hybrid and base 4 cylinder are both on it's heels, that is not good.

I like the new Buick Regal, but I can't help but think of the former glory days of the Grand National.

No it's not a rocket but an affordable balance of performance, fuel economy, comfort and styling - all from an American manufacturer. Basically a poor man's CTS.

Unfortunately Buick still has the stigma...my wife cringes every time I admire the Regal. If Cadillac can bring its reputation back to greatness, perhaps Buick can follow suite. Hey, the Chinese LOVE it.
