While the bracket is not heavy, it is an awkward size and has to go in a fairly large box (20x14x8 is the closest size I can get), also realize that you are pretty much all the way across the country. The actual UPS ground cost is $16.47, plus a $1.20 fuel surcharge charged by UPS to 11740 ($17.67), and I add $2.25 to help pay for the box, and packing materials (and this doesn't even cover the cost of the box), hence your not quite $20 cost of $19.92 that you are referring to. I can ship USPS Parcel Post for $13.39 to 11740, but Parcel Post is very slow; I try to only use it for orders going to Hawaii, or Alaska to cut the shipping cost down. |

I dropped the v6 brackets off to be powder coated on Friday. I hope to have them back Tues/Weds. I will post on here when they are ready to go. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Just an update to let anyone interested know I just got off the phone from the powder coater and the v6 brackets are done. I am going to pick them up right now, and they will be ready to ship as soon as tomorrow. I have reset the stock on the website, and they can be ordered directly from www.jacfab.com
Couple other things while I'm on here... I've been getting a lot of emails & PMs from people asking if I have a bracket for the ZL1 available... I plan to make one if the current SS bracket will not fit it (I doubt it will, but it would be nice )... Unfortunately no one here has one yet including the dealer... As soon as the first one shows up at the local dealer, I will be there to take measurements. If anyone in the Southern or Northern Oregon area gets one and would be willing to let me take measurements, & pictures, please contact me.Regarding the shipping prices quoted on my site. I understand they seem a little high, let me try and break it down a little... For those that don't know, ALL packages shipped through UPS are automatically insured for up to $100 dollars. If your box gets lost or damaged UPS should cover it. USPS shipping prices DO NOT include insurance. If it's lost or damaged, it is what it is. The additional cost of insurance for the price of my product ($72.95 SS version) is an ADDITIONAL $2.85, usually bringing the USPS cost within about $1.00 of the original UPS quoted price, and it will take an additional 2-5 days to get to you, depending on your location. I try to reserve the USPS option for people outside of the continental US as it is much cheaper compared to UPS or FedEx. If you want to go the USPS uninsured route to save a couple dollars that is fine, we have no problem doing that, BUT we are not responsible if packages are lost or damaged, and USPS will not cover it. Also, UPS does not give the option to ship uninsured to lower the cost. I do not ship large volumes of product because I am basically in a niche market at the moment, hence I get little to no discount with any shipping service you choose. Compare that with the ever rising fuel costs and the shipping is only going to get more expensive over time. To my knowledge I offer the cheapest "No drill / No adhesive" front license plate bracket out there, I feel they are very high quality as well as easy on the eyes, and I have never received a single complaint in over 300 sold. I hope you all understand my position here. I try the best I can to offer the best shipping prices, and options I can, but there's only so much I can do short of raising the cost of my products to show you a lower shipping cost on paper, which I would rather not do. I will continue to offer high quality products at a price that's more than competitive with the other options out there, while continuing to try to expand my Camaro product line to meet your needs. Thank you everyone for all the orders! Last edited by RacnJsn95; 02-27-2012 at 04:51 PM. |

Plenty of v6 and v8 brackets ready to ship... Looking for a GFX car locally, or within about 4 hours north of me to possibly use as a mule to design a bracket that fits the factory GFX... And a ZL1, whenever those start showing up!

Due to the increasing number of people trying to contact me by phone, below are my hours of operation...
I do have a day job and am unreachable by phone Mon-Thurs 6:30am - 5pm PST. Please leave a message if you call during this time, and I will return your call ASAP. Typical JacFab hours of operation are 5:00pm - 10:00pm PST Mon-Thurs, 9am-5pm PST Fri-Sat, and typically closed on Sunday, but will still answer phone calls, and emails. I can usually answer emails and PM's within an hour or two or receiving them. Although I don't "open" until 5pm, UPS takes outbound packages until 7pm, and I can usually fill all orders and drive them to UPS before they close. I drive to UPS once per day to drop off all orders from the day, or the previous day if I can't complete everything on time to go out the same day. The shop cell phone number is (541) 951-9530. Thanks for understanding. |

The brackets fit with some aftermarket splitters, like the stillen, and street scene have been confirmed to work with it. I'm currently still working on one for the factory gfx cars, and hope to start on a zl1 bracket as soon as one shows up at the local dealer. |

Cool product, if and when I get the holes removed from my bumper I'll be in the market for one of these.

I got mine on the other day and it's pretty cool. I don't know if the convertible front fascia is slightly different, but the bracket seemed to be a little to much angled forward. I slightly bent the bracket so the plate now sits perfectly straight. I highly recommend this product for those who need a front plate. Very easy to remove for cleaning and car shows.

This looks like a great product man. If I get a ticket for no front plate, this would be my top choice. Nice idea. =)

Thanks Mindz!
Just a quick update on stock. Currently sold out of the v8 braackets, and down to 2 v6 brackets. A batch of both, in both bent and flat style are going to powder coat today, I imagine i'll have them back ready to go early - mid next week. Thanks for all the orders! On a side note, our prototype cold air intake system is almost finished, hoping to get before and after results on a dyno in the next week or 2. I wish we had a closer dyno, but the nearest one is a 3 hr drive. |

Any hope of another sale (like your Christmas one) in the near future? It's a beautiful product, and I haven't seen any solution close to matching it on looks.
