True... My biggest concern is not liking it or having it look "over done" or "too busy" and me not like it after.

Very cool rim design. I've been thinking about gun metal gray powder coat. Hmmm.....

That's a good point. However, it looks interesting in the pic. I don't think it looks too overdone, but thats just my opinion.

Welcome Zedder, hope you join the 45th group here

The white will probably grow on you, give it a bit of time before changing it.

Do you really have 40 Camaros ??? would love to see photos of your collection, please post some when you can

Thanks for the welcome! You are probably right about the white trim, but it's good to know that it is easy to swap if I wanted. I wish I still had them all, but that is my total from over the year (35 years to be exact ). When the muscle car market started to tank I sold both of my '67 Z's. Here is a pic of one of them...

Apologize if I missed it, but anyone done the gun metal powdercoat on the 45th? I'd like to add a red stripe similar to the centennial 'vette.

Powdercoat the rims you mean? In the grey color of the stripe? If that's what you're asking then yes there is a guy who's done that here on C5.

Credit to doubletrouble for pulling the trigger on a good idea! They're powdercoated to nearly match the grey stripe color. Except they are slightly shiny, not matte.
Again, credit to doubletrouble, looks great! He said it only ran him $272 with tax for all four rims!

So our 45th was delivered on 2/17 after getting word it came off the line on 2/14, wow is all I can say that it was quick! My wife and son collected it in the afternoon so here's a few pictures to share and to hold me over until May when I'm home on vacation next! The only thing we asked the dealer not to do was drill & install the front license plate bracket as we have a different one on its way and we bought a set of GM Camaro heavy duty rubber all-weather floor matts and they are in already. The pile of parts for mods at the house will be installed soon I hope.

Enjoy.

At dealer prep:

Wife & Camaro at the house:

Awaiting to be tucked away in the 3rd bay of the garage until better weather:

definitely not like a black, but they do show up. i'm not sure how the rumor got out, but CFM is not a magic color that hides any imperfection by any means.

one nice thing about CFM is that it masks dust quite well though.

I want to do it so bad. It's one of the first things I noticed. My roommate seems to think it'll be an issue when driving at nice, but even if it was I wouldn't care, haha, it'd look sooooooo good with that light behind the dash trim. I want to look into it more.

Glad you finally got it and are behind the wheel!

Good move not having the dealer drill your bumper. That'd be an awful sight!

CGM and CFM would go nicely in the driveway together!
And you won't have to store the camaro for winter when you're down here!
