Did you get a chance to see the ambient lighting?

Sadly, no... I didn't even think about it until I was already on the road back to work... I knew someone was going to ask... kinda suprised I haven't been murdered for not having pics of it. Sorry

Thanks for the heads up Richard!! Great news. It's the first one that I've heard make it to a dealer for sale. Is it the dealer's car? Or Pre-ordered by a customer?

Did they say when it would be ready for pick up?

Consider yourself murdered

What's your thoughts on the silver panels? Did they look "high quality"? Touch em at all? I still haven't seen any good pictures of the silver door/IP inserts.

Just curious...when we were at Daytona, did you touch the panels?

It was a customer order. He told me that it is being picked up tomorrow because the stripes won't be done until then, and the customer lives about 2 hours away... I think it's kinda funny that all of you have seen this guy's car, and I have sat in it, yet he hasn't even seen it..

They looked pretty good... I didn't touch them or anything, and most of the interior was still covered, so it was hard to tell. They definitely dont look "low quality"... I dont think any part of this car does...

Built 4/9 and delivered to the dealer 4/15, not bad.

Why is the GVWR still wrong on a production car? The GVWR should be more around 3800lbs and not 4600.

GVWR is not the same as Curb weight.

On the invoice it shows the ship weight on a 2SS as 3871.

I believe so. But those were cloth. I'm wondering how the production 2XX panels feel.

A gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) is the maximum allowable total weight of a road vehicle or trailer when loaded - i.e including the weight of the vehicle itself plus fuel, passengers, cargo, and trailer tongue weight.

The difference between gross weight and curb weight is the total passenger and cargo weight capacity of the vehicle. For example, a pickup truck with a curb weight of 4500 pounds might have a cargo capacity of 2000 pounds, meaning it can have a gross weight of 6500 pounds when fully loaded.

Don't apologize. You're the first person to document an actual delivery of a customer car to a dealership (other than the Hendrick pair, obviously). I'm surprised that this thread isn't a bigger deal -- the Camaro has officially arrived.

Interesting that the first cars manage to show up at Hendrick and Penske, isn't it?

You WILL get used to it and very quickly. Won't take long at all.
