Pic request Gmpp axle back connection

Need a picture of where the Gmpp axle back slides into the stock piping.
I sold my Gmpp axle back on eBay now buyer is trying to tell me it doesn't fit and he wants a return he believes it has to go over the stock piping I need a pic showing how it slides in to the stock piping. Also just to make sure the Gmpp axle back does fit the 2012 camaro ss the same as it did on my 2010 ss correct? Far as I know the 2010 axle backs fit 2011 and 2012 models

One more question in these pics it kind of looks like the axle back pipe goes over the factory piping the Gmpp exhaust I had slide into my factory piping just want to make sure in the pics is that sliding into the factory pipe or is the factory pipe sliding into the axle back?

That doesn't make sense. If it slid inside the OEM pipe, you'd essentially be choking down the exhaust a little in that area. All axle backs i've seen have a flared end that goes OVER the OEM pipe that you cut.

I need to know if there is a difference between the 2010 ss camaro stock piping and a 2012 ss convertible stock piping I had the Gmpp axle back installed on my 2010. Mine slide into the stock piping I sold it on eBay now the guy wants a return saying it does not fit his 2012. I a bought this exhaust from Chevy they installed it on my 2010 it slide into the piping how does it not fit a 2012?

Ok is it possible that the exhaust on the 2012 is fractionally smaller to allow for the extra bracing underneath the car?

Here is the pic that YOU posted in your sale. It clearly shows it goes OVER the stock exhaust tubing.

From this pic, it definitely goes over the stock pipes. Ive never seen an axle back that slides inside. But if the buyer is saying it doesn't fit inside, then it must fit outside, right? What's the problem?

The buyer says it doesn't fit over the stock piping but I know for a fact when it was on my ad it slide inside the piping I know that may sound weird but that is how the dealer installed it according to the buyer his stock piping is 2.5 in the axle back pipe is 2.2 inch does it not make sense that it would slide into the stock piping

Well, if that pic is the same mufflers, it is the biggest reason that it makes no sense. Those slits at the end is for the pipe to expand and fit over the stock pipes.

If they fit those inside your pipes, they did something wrong.

**oh yea, and if his piping is 2.5, it's a V6. I think the V8's are larger. I don't know what either of you have. Maybe that's the problem?

Most likely if its been installed before the ends will be pinched a bit and not slide over easily. I had the same issue with a used system and took a few pieces to midas. They stretched them back out with their bender machine and didn't charge me anything.

He has a v8 my piping on my v8 is also 2.5 in I'm confused as to why the dealer installed this on my car and slid it inside my exhaust if it's suppose to go over it.

Also If the slits are made to expand would a shop be able to expand it enough to get it to go over the 2.5 stock piping?

They should, yea. As Synner mentioned, they can be opened up again. When I was putting my exhaust on (MRT), the ends looked to be the same size and wouldn't slide on. They just had to be opened up more.

Does the buyer have a vert? Because the vert and coupe have different exhaust systems due to the vert's reinforcements.

Yes he has a convertible but as far as I know they don't make different axle backs for convertibles. If they do then I'll have no choice but to refund him. Does anyone know if the ss axle backs fit the ss convertibles?

But in your ebay add, did you say that it fit the 2012 convertible? Or did the buyer assume that it would fit? If the buyer assumed that it would fit that's his fault.
