I wrote this to one of our other members... The 2012 v6 has a new engine called the LFX. The main difference between the two LFX/LLT is that the LFX has one big pipe on each side that air passes through on it's way to the exhaust. The 10-11 model v6 (LLT) has a set of three pipes on each side. The other small difference in the engine is a new maf (mass air flow) censor for the 2012. This is why company's are needing to update there intakes to the new maf. Cold air Inductions is the only company to do it. Also since there are differences to the undercarriage of the convertible, cat back exhausts need to be updated as all current models wont fit. More info here...

It's offical now. Picked up my 2LT/RS on Dec 23rd. So here's my first question. Does anyone make LFX emblems that could go on either side of the hood cowl. Something like "323 HP / LFX" would be cool.

congrats oldschool! i pick mine up tomorrow after work... as far as the emblems go im sure there isnt any yet since we just started the group. It would be really cool if someone could design one though

Emissions most likely. It does flow better, but not as good as a set of aftermarket headers.

The gains are similar to adding short tube headers to the LLT. The LFX does this without adding any weight and actually lost 20 pounds.

I wish there was a way to differentiate the way a LFX looks than to the LLT without opening the hood or sitting inside the car.
