Question about my dealer...!

First of all, even though I got really minimal posts...I visit this site religiously! Amazing work on the updates guys!

I was torn between the 2LT and the 1SS...I made my decision...I'm gonna go with the 2LT...I know its a V6 (I currently own a 94 Camaro V6)...but you can't beat the 29mpg, 87 octane gas and cheaper insurance. Plus, the 2LT comes with bluetooth, heated seats and the 4 gauge cluster which I love...the heated seats are for the wife

So...out of 10 dealers I contacted about test drives...I got called from 2 to go in next week to check them out and 1 I had to tell them to call back cause I was in a meeting.

Now...for my question...I was also requesting for quotes. I have only gotten 1 reply from the "reputable" dealer and this is what I got...

Quote:
Oscar,

The base price of a 2LT before anything else is added $26,580.00 plus $795.00 delivery Charge and $1,500.00 for advertising expense. Every item on this Camaro is an option, all the way to the spare tire. If you want an automatic transmission that is also an option. It comes with the manual transmission.

We also add a dealer bump of $1,500.00 for the V8 and $1,000.00 for the V6.

Another thing, if you are looking for the Cyber Gray paint you will be waiting awhile. They have a constraint on that and NO orders for Cyber Greay are being accepted at this time.

What are those extra charges in bold? If they are extra charges no one else got...I can move on!

Those are charges above MSRP. Your requesting a quote on a car that is very hot find a dealer that will sell for MSRP and that will probably be your best price these cars have very little markup in them and the dealer is not going to give that away for a while.

Move on. That would be "markup".

Yep call around and have the car drop shipped to your dealer or have it shipped from the purchasing dealership to your front door for around $800.

No way i would pay over MSRP shop around
