ELECTRIC CUT OUT SURVEY /qtp, nowweds, race ready.pics to follow

i have been looking at cut outs now for about a week. there is qtp for about 500 bucks .then there is noweeds for about 950 bucks .then there is race ready with lifetime warranty for 449 bucks . .my questions are is there any differance that makes one better then the other to me they are all doing the same thing .does one or all have a different sound meaning is one louder then the other ..i know qtp has to be welded on and the other 2 are boltons .just would like some feedback from who ever has any of the 3 .who knows maybe there are more companies out there with this .please chime in with all or any info thanks guys .what happens if something goes wrong with the qtp's that are welded in .you have to cut pipe and send back to company and wait for your new parts to arrive not digging that.

I have already said why I chose noweeds... Best product out there but twice as expensive as the competition. I'm sure they all work great.

Cant beat the life time warranty of race ready but if your car is lowered I would reccommend goin with someone that sells the low profile, they will all sound the same but the noweeds are definetly the heaviest. None low profile will hit the ground because of location with or without cats.

I believe the Noweeds actually block the exhaust flow to the muffler when they open the bypass. The Race-Ready and QTP just open a butterfly valve to bypass still allowing some flow through the muffler. If your looking for total bypass and HP the Noweeds might be for you. If you want bone rattling sound I'd go with the others. For me its not worth the extra money for the Noweeds and Race-Ready have a no hassle warranty from what I've read on here. My 2 cents.

Thumbs up

I've had a QTP electronic cut out on my LS1 Z28 for over 6+ years now and it's been spot on reliable/dependable/trouble free and lots of fun as well.

you are correct. That was my #2 reason for going with the noweeds. All air is forced through the cutout as opposed to just letting air go through both with the other systems.

I think they all pick up about the same RWHP... approx 10. Full diversion is great, but not wholly necessary. The cutouts along with the stock system move the exhaust gasses out nearly as quickly as the full diverters. They all sound great, but my concern was having a solid warranty. To each their own

Forget about the dumps or diverter, put one of those whistles in the exhaust.

Ok, I'm kidding. NoWeeds diverter here. Will cost more, but not a lot more after the labor of the welding the dumps in. Based on the design, the NoWeeds could be a bit louder when open since all the exhaust is diverted out, instead of some going thru muffs.

You'll look forward to driving thru tunnels and underpasses in/around NYC. Triggering car alarms is an added bonus.

Wow, I didn't know they eye that expensive now.

I don't know about lately, but I had QTP when they first came it many moons ago and they were
complete trash. They kept falling apart even after multiple rebuilds.
