I'd take it black with red stripes to match my Chevelle.

DG, I changed the area code country to Canada.

We can't have all you Canadians calling the USA without translators.

Just need to find a way to make more money! You've got a 2ss= aprox. 40K give or take 1-2k. 1SS + 1LE + LS7 = 48K. 8k difference over 60 months = appox. $140 extra a month. I think a worthwhile expenditure

Current Camaro:
CRT 1SS/1LE/RS/Recaro's/NPP/Nav/Rear vision pkg./BA speaker upgrade.

Don't forget the extra gas and new tires you'll need enjoying a 7 liter Camaro.

Think about the "foresight" GM employed when they originally named it the Z/28.

NO displacement reference...so we can put anything "suitable" under the hood!

I say that if a car has 8 lbs/hp (or less) then the first set of rear tires should replaced for free. Afterall, it should be expected that they might wear out a little early as you are 'learning' the car ... right?

The first two sets would be fair.

I don't think you'll get anyone to disagree with you there except for the beancounters.

No 2013 pricing for the 1LE. With some modifications in could turn into a Z.

If there is a Z in the 5th Gen future, the SS 1LE seems like a good starting point.

Nope. I need all the shiny stuff. So more like $53K. I would only get about $27K on a trade for my 2SS and I owe $22K. Once you add taxes and tags I will be borrowing $50K. My payment will go from $600 to $900 a month and I will have two more extra years of payments.

If I put a cam and gears on my current SS I am sure I would not have hide from a stock LS7 Z28 at the track or the drags. That would be about $4K. Much cheaper.

But no 427 magic. :sigh:

What if it doesn't come out for another 1.5 years, by then your trade equity will have increased and you could start a "Z" fund that could lower what you will be borrowing, thus putting you in an affordable payment zone...just a suggestion.
