400whp turbo v6

Quote:
I have never seen this car in all the time i have been in the forum. I guess this is how a v6 400rwhp car is . They have another video but its Kinda stupid to do this in traffic but other than that good footage and sound of a turbo v6.
Which is why we have to remove video's of this type...

I had a V6. This one sure is a screamer, but damn, you just cannot make one sound good!

Also a V8 manual has around 360 to wheels on a dyno and v8 auto dynos around 340. This v6 dyno at 400 to the wheels. To get this power out of the v8 you first need to buy the car then add bolts on such as headers intake and probably a tune. So no need to come and bash. Im being respectful and spreading this info to the v6 family because i found it interesting.. We are all owners
I removed the post this referenced, and there will be no bashing as you mentioned... There are a lot of V-6 owners looking for power fix's...

I agree a little about the sound. But its a v6 thats the nature of the motor. Wont get the deep growl like the v8 but i sure do love the sound of the turbos.

The thing about the sound is that it is a rear mount turbo. Similar to the STS, all rear mount turbo setups sound like that because there is like 3-10 inches of exhaust after the turbo. Where as a mid mounted or front mount ( engine bay ) there is almost a full exhaust system after the turbo so the screaming is turned down a lot.

Nope, not on vacation, just can't possibly read every single thread/post on this site...

When we do find them by happening across them, or they are reported, we address them...

No, it isn't street racing but again driving at high speeds in traffic is unsafe and foolish at best...

The video is by pete stop motoring's camaro v6 GT35 rear mount kit installed. They said they are running a special for 4999 installed and tuned. They are based in FL I think.
That's a great deal and awesome numbers, but again, rear mount. Sigh...

alot of peoples here are surprised at what some mods think is appropriate and what is not. I didn't think it was street racing either but I guess the mod thought otherwise. What still gets to me the most is that I respected mods view even though I didn't agree with his decision to remove my post, so after receiving a little pm from the mod I re posted with a different video that didn't have any racing at all but for some obvious reason he took it down again but this time without any pm or any explanation. As much as I wanted to say something I just said F**it and left it alone. I guess you will find out soon if the mod still feel the same way
The reposting may have been removed by a different mod... IDK

So, what do you think a v8 with rear mount turbos sounds like? A bigger weed wacker! I've been around a few well done turbos , and say what you will, but that will get your attention, right now! Love it!

Kind of agree... rear mounted with no mufflers makes it sound more like a sport bike... close your eyes and listen to the fly by at 4:50 and you'll swear a crotch rocket went by... not my favorite sound for a Camaro.... :(

basically with the rear mounted tubos you are running with no mufflers... A straight piped V8 sounds A LOT BETTER (in fact some sound AMAZING!) than a V6! So completely disagree that a rear-mounted turbo V8 sounds like a bigger weedwacker...

yeah im definitely keeping my mrt and doing mid mount turbos. As much as i love the sound of turbo, our v6 straight piped sounds horrible. Wonder if the company does mid mounts or engine mount turbos? More options for our brother in here.

sorry brother but a v8 straight pipe especially the camaro ss sounds beast. no arguing that! The v8 doesn't have the rasp that our engine has. But we can eliminate most of that by installing the turbos somewhere else and still enjoy that turbo sound
