Help! Blemishes from oil droplets all over my car!
Long story short I work at a place that uses "die lube" (some type of oil) to make forged metal parts (think forged wheels, though we don't make wheels). Anyways, this lube gets into the air and all over the cars in the parking lot.
I had a good coat of Collinite 845 on the car, and figured the oil would just sit on top of the wax. Well, it appears I was wrong. I went to strip the wax off the car using a mix of Adam's APC and car wash shampoo as suggested by Dylan. This appears to have striped off the wax, but the oil is still there, and I can't seem to get it to come off. I also tried Dawn and that did not work either. Next step I guess is clay bar, but because the oil acts as a lubricant I don't imagine it would work. Does anyone have any suggestions? Here are some pictures of the oil droplets all over my hood: ![]()
