Haha, wow.. are Miami judges that naive? No disrespect, but come on, man.. are we really telling OP to purge himself under oath? Seems a lot to risk for 114 bucks and no points.

Orange County has made my both buddies of mine walk outside with the officer where the officer can see the issue has been fixed... but again, this is not a fix it ticket OP received...

I don't think there are very many cops that know of the DOT regulations for reverse lamps as long as you have them (I would be one of them)...as long as they illuminate and when they do they are white, you should never be bothered. I smoked mine because I originally hated how the lights broke up the rear end. Smoking it seems to smooth them out very well.. also they illuminate white clearly so I have never gotten a second look by officers where I live.

...I will say, if I didn't have rear assist, I may have reconsidered it. With the line of sight and my window tint, they don't help much lol
Cool, thanks.

And if it is fixed when they walk outside from court; then your busted for your window tint maybe being too dark. Never ever give them a chance to keep looking for more.
...............and Never ever let them search the car. Make them call the dog

all kidding aside, it may be easier just to remove the tint. Espeacially if you travel through that district and the Sgt. see's you ignored his ticket. Why allow yourself for more grief.

Definitely not worth your time. At this stage, you call the shots.
Step into court and who knows...
Judge could decide to make an example of you for wasting his time.

By the way, were you doing anything else that drew the officer's attention?
Donuts maybe?

What actually drew his attention was the AAC DRL light I had on the car, he gave me a warning for those since they are slightly blue. I was on the fence with them anyway, so I have already removed and sold them.

this is not an option for me, not for a $114 ticket.

.............Sorry this is NOT possiable.

LOL x2..... Brantley,
Been there and done that and got the T-shirt & # too. The ride was non voluntary ride. Thank God I am a changed man and now saving for parts for my CAM. New goals in LIFE.

If I was in his shoes; I would lay down and wear the ticket or remove the film. No need to attract more attention than has been drawn.

LEO's are people too; just doing there job. No matter how petty we may think it is. Right is right and wrong is not what we want to hear.

I actually meant riding passenger with my dog in the back lol, I am a K9 handler...I got a lot of buddies that do ride alongs..

I def want to hear and see the ride quality with the cam swap. I am struggling to decide if I should just go with a VVT for low end or spend an arm and a leg for a conversion.
