I'd be kinda sore if those were all CGM cars and I had a preorder that has not moved codes

We sold and delivered ours about 2 hours after it got back to the lot for list price. I couldn't believe how many people were waiting at the dealership to see it when I got there with it. The first guy that wanted it had to go home and make some calls to make sure he was getting a good deal by the time he got back the other guy had already taken delivery. This event was put on by the North Texas Chevy Dealers and it was a huge success......

So like I've seen mentioned in previous posts. We've all pre-ordered cars and now someone walks on the lot and buys one ahead of us! Damn! I gotta be honest, I'm kinda pissed to see this post especially since I'm still waiting on my IOM and I have no word as to when it will arrive. Why did I pre-order back on October 15th then. I guess I'm just a DUMB A$$.

Again, some of the best FREE advertising GM will get is US driving around town in our new Camaros. I know someone's gonna reply and say stop whining or be patient, but I'm getting tired of waiting and getting no real info from my dealer. Oh well, can't do much but keep waiting since I already put 2K down.

WTF??!!
I was at my dealer today (largest in the state and within about 200 miles) and I ordered my car 179 days ago. He said it would be two weeks before my order would be accepted into the production system, due to allocation. Then up to four weeks to build. Plus two weeks to deliver. So I ordered mine six months ago, and will have to wait two more months, cash in hand, before I can get mine yet some guy off the street just walks in with his check book and walks out with the keys!!!! I'm trying to be patient but this just makes it really, really hard to keep my cool.. Pissed is a gross understatement!

GM, quite effing around with this and get me my car!

Hesh,

You did an amazing job man! Thank you and congratulations! Love the pic of the 3rd gen B4C! Your pictures here have captured something which will be important as time goes on. People are going to wonder if they own one of these cars. Hopefully Chevrolet has documented the VIN numbers of the cars that participated. Thanks again for documenting this historical 2010 Camaro event.

My thoughts is that this company is in dire straits due to Poor execution and Mismanagement. The consumer is 1000% behind this company, but why saturate one area with the same color car. It would be better severed from a dollar position if you shipped these cars evenly throughout the country. Theres money on the table waiting for these cars and there all in one place for what?

I really dont understand GM strategy at all with this car, im just hoping for the best I preordered early this year and who knows when my car will be here.
I live around Dallas and this was awesome but I see what you're saying.

The only reason someone here was able to walk on a dealership and buy one is because that dealership didnt do preorders. I have found out that several dealers in the area ordered to stock and did not do preorders. I know the one from Classic Chevrolet is going to be auctioned for charity on May 6th. What dealers are going to do with the ones they have, or how they got them is unknown to me. Also here is the link to youtube for the vids I took.

but it's the only one I looked at. I was only able to sit in the last one because they didn't want the doors banged up but they all had the same equipment.......2SS gauges , auto, polished wheels. They really popped.

The salesman over at Stonebriar Chevrolet in Frisco told me that the one they had was the 15th one built (sure that wasn't the case) but I didn't get a look at the vin. The also tried to tell me that if I bought that one that I'd be the first person in America to have one so I began to tell them about all the people who had taken delivery and one of the guys didn't believe me. They also said that I could put in an order for one and they'd sell it at sticker which in their words was better than the people who first pre-ordered with them because they were charged 5k over sticker. Gotta love a-holes!

We got our yesterday and it's B-E-A-UTIFUL. For some reason these cars look alot more orange in person. These pics are some of the closest I have seen but cameras just can't seem to capture the true color.

The one we sold was number 639...

I can sure understand the frustration of you guys that are waiting I hope you get your cars soon. Once you do you will not be disappointed…… This is the most exciting car we’ve had in my 16 years in the Chevrolet business.

Do you want to know what I don't like about this whole situation?

The guys who preordered way back in October (I wasn't one of them)...still won't have their cars but on May 6th, anybody can walk into a dealership and buy the dealer car off of the lot.

So much for being pro-active...guess you won't be the first one on the block to have one afterall.
