Opinions on V-Max and tune

Looking for anyone who has knowledge whether or not I would need a tune after simply installing a V-Max throttle body after getting a tune for headers, cats, and cai. While I'm not expecting HP gains, I would like the throttle response claimed by using it. Just wondering if it will work properly with my existing tune since it's not worth spending $ for another dyno tune just for this.

I'm pretty sure you can bolt it on and be good to go. A lot of guys are swapping that don't have tunes.

Hmm, Im in the same boat as well, except I dont have a tune on my car at all. Just put the ported tb on recently and haven't noticed a difference. I was planning on getting it tuned this week, but Im undecided, lol.

You don't need another tune with this bolt on. Not a dramatic upgrade like LT headers or cam.

I didnt have mine retuned. I already had Kooks headers and Rotofab cai when I installed my Vmax tb. Throttle response is great and no cel.

You should be good to go.
If you already have a tune, depending on how good and exact that tune is, you may want to get it rechecked after adding the VMAX, just to make sure. Most places will recheck it for free, or very little cost.
The VMAX does introduce more air, which means you could be on the lean side.
If its simply a mail order tune, you should be fine, since they are not very exact and usually have a lot of room for improvement in them.
