The GoPro Video thread

Hello everyone!

Well I just setup my GoPro Hero 2 and filmed my drive to work for the first time. So far it looks great!

So with this thread I was thinking we can compile all of our GoPro footage.

Rules:

Keep it safe. Nothing reckless!
List your GoPro setup. (Mounts Specs., What kind of lens, and location used on the car to film)

This way we can all get new ideas on how to mount the camera and the best setting for filming.

I will post my videos up later after I get some practice... But lets see what everyones got!

Just a stock out of the box Hero2. I used the adhesive mount on the rear quarter so I could pick up the exhaust. When its mounted to the front you cant hear the exhaust at all, just the engine and whine of the super charger which is really cool though.

You're leaving the adhesive mount on your car?

I think it would be cool if the hero could some how be linked into the obo2 port so you could show rpm and mph on the video.

^ I'm banking on the info I read to use heat from a blow dryer to remove the adhesive mount. I'm a little frightened to try it. I may end up trying a suction cup soon.

it should come off pretty easy. I use them on my surfboards in 32 degree water in the winter, they are strong enough to stay on for that, but i've taken a few off with a hair dryer and they come off in about 5 minutes worth of careful prying...

YEa, don't try and use them at night, they don't do well under low light conditions.

Yea I have the suction cup, it's reeaally strong. WD-40, a hair dryer, and dental floss will get it off. It's how I got my trunk emblem off.

Took off the stickie mount with heat and fishing line. Went and found a suction cup and stuck it to the sun roof...I knew the sunroof would come in handy some day.
