STABILITRACK "update"

Over the past few weeks/months I've noticed in my DIC a message just after startup that said "service stabilitrack"(or very similar wording). I had time today and made an appointment at my dealer's service center. After a while I was told that there is an update for the stabilitrack and that updating would take about an hour. Figured I'd let everyone know what's up. I'll repost after I get some time behind the wheel and see if it's been resolved.

Also, the problem was intermittent and I thought for sure the trip would be a waste of time.

Could be a bad sensor.

Check your spark plugs. Mine did that and found out a spark plug was off.

I used to get that every now and then, usually when the car was arm and I just clicked the key real quick and let it go. Now I've started holding the key in the start position longer, and I haven't seen it in ages. I've heard similar reports from others.

Check all your spark plug wires!!! had the same problem and checked to wires and one was loose. put it back on and problem gone. went ahead and ordered new set of msd wires to make sure it didn't happen again.

The owner's manual states the "Service Stabiltrack" message is supposed to briefly appear at each start, along with all the other warning icons that we have learned to ignore...
