yes getting a tune will help with hp gains but will also say goodbye to your warranty. The cai will give u hp gain even without getting a tune. But if you don't care about the tune then go for it. Also get you a set of Long tube headers also!! then make that tune more worth it

axle back or cat back exhaust for sound not much hp gain but sounds alot better. and with u really wanting the warranty then i would pull up on wanting to do any major bolt on mods for performance. Yes most people will get on here and tell you to put long tube headers on and run with no tune but doing that will cause a check engine light and make your car run rich. Me personally its not worth it thats your call. U could do suspension mods drop it and help it handle. Also could do some cosmetic mods like heritage grill and rims. There are alot of options to choose from here. just gotta think about whats important to you. I have cai full exhaust long tube headers ported throttle body and a stage 2 cam with a dyno tune. But the only reason i have all that done is b/c i had a gm performance shop do it and i got to keep my warranty. That was the selling point for me

Exactly but in my case anything that's gonna void my warranty is not worth it! I don't do racing very often only when I go out of town with my friends once a month or so

Other than that it's almost a daily driver for me i use it for short rides in specific areas of the town that it..

Thanks dshep214

No problem that's what we are here for. So if I were u then I would just enjoy your nice ride. It has plenty enough hp for the normal person. Only the few horsepower crazy guys like myself need more lol.

Fuse pull to reset computer. Front passenger side box under hood. If your SS has had low octane fuel the comp reset timing. Pull fuses, wait atleast 15 minutes, reinstall fuses, drive. Make sure you have tank filled with atleast 93 octane. It will reset to factory set point & maf senser will reset for increased air flow. Did both to mine. Dealer had filled tank with 89 octane which caused it to be a bit slower than it should have been.
