You can feel free to disconnect the battery.

Other than that..you're good to go.

Drive the car easy to medium rpms for awhile after install to let the car adjust. Also, after your first several drives with it, check it to make sure it hasn't shifted and closed the air gap at all. If it does, you will likely need to grind down the brackets more...but if it doesn't move then you are golden!

You'll love this intake.

You dont "need" to disconnect the battery. You can if you want to, disconnecting it will not make any difference.

All you need to do is take the old air intake out, swap the sensor and install the new air intake. You don't need anything else.
Just follow the video.

thanks for the replies! just thought that the ECU needed to relearn the driving habits after the vararam install. read on here that some of the CAI systems reccomended you reset the ecu or disconnect the battery, didnt know if this was one.
agian thanks!

i would disconnect the battery, it can only help, take like 2min. I remember reading somewhere that you should drive regularly for about 100 miles then you can do some wot runs.

i dont have the vararam but i let my computer learn for about 100 miles before i did any spirited driving
