They draw less volts the reg bulbs. Sometimes when they draw less volts it tricks the computer into thinking you have a blownout bulbs. When it thinks you have a blown bulbs it can cause the cruise control not to work. 4th Gens are known for if you have a bulb blown it can cause the cruise control not to work.

409...my dad didn't have a 409, but one of the cars he talks fondly about is a 1970 Impala in dark blue that he ordered new. It had a 300hp 350.

It's less than a year away. Early Q1 2013 SORP, in dealerships by late Q1.

So they're sticking with the 3.6L V6 in it? No 6.7L V8s?

Also, will that be on a stretched Epsilon platform, or something new? I'm assuming the W-platform is finally being taken out to the woods and shot.

No V8.

It's on the XTS's variant of the EpII platform. W-body is dead and buried once the current Impala (which will transition to a fleet-only model) runs its course.
