2016 Camaro

Interesting read

http://www.lsxtv.com/news/will-the-2...ude-a-turbo-4/

I personally think a 4 cylinder in our cars would cheapen the Camaro name and what it stands for.

1.) You didn't post a link to the article.
2.) It wouldn't be the first time a Camaro was equipped with a 4 cyl.
3.) They make some pretty amazing forced induction, direct injection 4 cyl now.

It's funny how they just blindly go along with the idea that the car companies MUST comply with the EPA requirement of 35MPH fleetwide as if the world will end if they don't comply and/or the EPA cannot simply be eliminated by the power of the voters.

Article is A LOT of speculation. Assuming that a 15 second 1/4 is a relatively accurate figure for a base 4 cylinder...That's pretty damned respectable. That's what IROCs ran IIRC.

With the ATS curb weight announced at 3400 lbs and the new 6th gen coming from this alpha platform, its' safe to say GM is serious about performance while keeping weight down to better compete. A 270 hp four cylinder will not be a bad thing but a very strong base engine performance wise and economically.
