I am looking too!

I know the guys @ Meineke on Tryon near WT Harris near Tarheel 4WD are recommended for custom off road applications...but not sure for the 'Maro.

Moving to Fort Mill soon

I'm wondering this same question. I will be moving to that area in March.

I need to find a good reputable speed/performance shop in the Charlotte NC/Fort Mill SC area.

Anyone know of a good one?

And for that matter, I need to find a good dependable Chevrolet dealership as well.

For a performance shop, I recommend Heintz Racing in Mooresville. Give Zach a call.

For a good Chevy dealership for service, City Chevrolet or Burns Chevrolet. City is much more mod friendly than other dealerships.

What Rockit said and for the people in Ft. Mill, there is Precision Dyno......but they are primarily a Ford shop and they talk shit on Camaros all the time, but they are closer than Mooresville :(

Awesome, thanks guys. I was checking out 5thgencarolinacamaros last night. Looks like it's a pretty active club. Too bad I'm deploying for 4 months the minute I move there. But hopefully I'll be around in late August for some events.

Good stuff.....just let me know or hit us up on the club site when you are well and ready to ride. We have atleast one event each month and starting in August we do a lot of stuff before Turkey Day hits so you will have plenty of weekends to waste on your Camaro with the rest of us

And good luck during your deployment

Yea....the SS sounds outstanding with straights IMHO. I wouldn't even get an actual system if I had a SS.

Now all you gotta do is meet up with the club

Sounds like crapola IMHO.

Super loud and unrefined. I mean, I have cutouts that dump right after the headers and it's fun as hell but if it were like that all the time... No thanks.

We tried it on my buddies car, 1-7/8" LTs and muffler delete... Took him driving around the block to realize it sucked.

I mean if that's your thing but this is a 35k car... Not a rat rod.

No no no, that's not my thing at all. I like having some growl, but I'm not interested being heard three blocks away. I'm more interested in breathing better so I can get more power out of my new supercharger. I agree too loud of exhaust is annoying. I cringe everytime I hear a loud ass Harley ride by.

I am not and I could not handle that anymore either. Keep in mind that the cats and the resonator are still in place if the mufflers were only removed.

As far as the law is concerned, SC is pretty loose since we have no inspection or emissions. Charlotte can get a little picky when they want too plus they have inspections and emissions. I would not give the officer a nice rev unless asked to do so.

I agree with Tim, I had a LEO pull me over for doing 40 in a 35 on Wilkinson BLvd!! He gave me a ridiculous hard time, but let me go. I have also been pulled over by a Sheriff on West blvd, but he was pretty easy going and respectful, he felt I was going really fast because how loud the car was, but he determined that I was doing the speed limit.

I chalked it up to the combination of my ridiculously loud exhaust and the neighborhood surroundings of West Charlotte

I have met up with the club. I went on the cruise for the Blue ridge parkway. I got my shirts from Scott to prove it! I will make it out to some stuff this spring and summer.

I couldn't make it to the last Blue Ridge cruise :(

Glad you could enjoy it, the scenery up and down that road is amazing.
