anyone relocate the washer bottle W/O buying the kit?

I've been meaning to do this for awhile;

I've got a K&N Typhoon intake and also the Sillen grille vents. Been planning on routing from the vents to the air filter just haven't figured out what to do with the washer bottle. Not that its A LOT of $$$, but id rather not purchase the relocating kit.

Has anyone successfully moved their washer fluid bottle without an after market kit yet?

Searches yield exactly why I'm looking for... but with the purchased kit.

Thanks man! You got me right where I needed to be! Modding a $20 catch can from eBay, good look, functional and opens the space- perfect! Thank you!

So I'm planning on doing the catch-can style relocate... but I'm a complete novice as far as all this stuff goes, I'm learning as I go...

Anyway- just to make sure I understand this-

I can remove the stock pump and either mount that directly into the catch can, or use an extention hose from the pump into the can... right? Moving it in a few weeks and building a custom air scoop from my Sillen grille vents to the cai.

Thanks in advance for all the help!

I don't have a pic on my phone but could post one when I get home. I used the OEM bottle and cut 7" out of the middle, got a peice from another bottle to adapt the top and bottom back together with epoxy. It fits perfect inside my ADM race intake with the top through the top of the intake. It allowed me to use OEM bottle and pump. Plus it still holds 3 quarts of juice. If I dont get the pic posted, send me PM to remind me.

I did the same mod that Caverman did after reading his thread. It was really easy to do. I mounted the pump with zip ties to the metal bracket there. I used 5' of clear tubing hose from lowes to run it to the fitting on the bottom of the bottle. Make sure you drill a small breather hole in the top of the cap or else it will starve the pump and create a vacuum that wont allow fluid to be pumped out. Other than that, it works great.
