I WANT ANOTHER ZL1! UPDATE!!!!!!

I have ordered a 2015 ZL1 with recaro's and a auto trans. BUT,I have a question? I know the new one will probably be at least in the high 50's low 60's and I have found another 2013 ZL1 that has right at 8k miles on it and they will not budge off of the 48k they are asking for it. I have been trying to buy it every day this last week.It has everything on it just like the one I ordered except the recaro's but I think that car should be bought for 42-43k am I right? If I can buy it for what I am thinking is enough I will cancel the order on the new one. What do you think?

Anything over 45k right now is too much....

Between 42-45k is the sweet spot for a 13' ZL1 with low mileage.

But if you really want it then a couple of thousand dollars more....it's up to you.

I'd prefer the 13' models myself. But a ZL1 is awesome in any year.

Fully loaded maybe 44 tops. Your price estimate seems fair. 48 is far too high unless it's modded quite a bit.

Not modded all stock. I think I have offered them all of the money for it. I really want it but dammit I am going to stand firm on my offer. I would like to get it at that price because that would allow me to keep this new 28 I have!

If you can find a new 2015 on a dealers lot that been there for a little wile you could get it for 46 or 47 because of the 20 % deal that Chevy is offering right now 48 is way to high for a 2013 ... Buy new

Well I think you are right but finding a auto trans,no sunroof,no micro fiber is probably impossible. I really like the recaro's in the 28 and I did order them in the 15 ZL1 that is coming but I was going to have to sell this 28 I have now if I do that. I am going to hammer on them some more next week a couple more times and if they still do not move on their price I am going to move on and look for another one. It is not like they have the only one for sale.

Is the Z/28 just too harsh a ride to keep?

NO, that does not bother me. I miss the blower whine, I do not feel the power of the ZL1 and I will not track the 28 although I would if we had a track that was close to me. I also would rather have the auto trans. I would not have sold mine but I have not ever kept a car around after a year or two and I sold mine after I got a good offer out of it.My next ZL1 will not leave again when I get one.I have learned a lesson on selling the one I had.

Thanks for sharing the reason why.

Good luck on getting your next ZL1.

Hahahaha. They always come back. Always.

Z/28s are great, but overall, the ZL1 does a lot of other things well. Hard to beat unless you want that special purpose track car.

You never know how much the dealership has in the car. They might of really stepped up to make a deal. Or they think it's unatanium. Car people are emotional on both ends you never know what a dealer will Do.

Talk to the GSM or the GM. Give them the comps. Tell them 20% has also left a bad taste in your mouth.

Stick to your target area be flexible & patient something good will come your way.

When you get to these kind of car's
A. They get totaled.
B. Drove hard, abused.
C. Like most of ours well cared for low miles. Most cases it's the 2nd or 3rd car.

Yes you are right. I just wish this dealer who has this 13 model would get off of that high price he is asking.I would be sitting here typing that I finally found a ZL1 and was a very happy guy again. I talked to the sales guy 3 times and I did ask for the GM but for some reason he was always busy. I am going to get on there ass again this week maybe they will sell it to me so I will stop bothering them!

Did Chevy bring back that offer?? - I don't see it advertised here in the SE (FL). The one 20% discount they did offer started before the Holidays in Dec '14 and ended in early Jan '15. I bought my new '15 ZL1 two weeks ago and that offer expired in Jan.

Yes, this is a key question. I thought that offer ended. Has it been reintroduced?

Thanks,
Ken

I just pulled the trigger and bought a 2013 ZL1. I will pick it up this weekend as it is about 200 miles from me and I cannot get off of work till then. I really have been sorry selling the one I had so now I am excited to have another one to say the least. It has 3219 miles, black in color and a A6. I gave 45k for it so I guess that is about the going price. I did not buy the one I found in texas so they can try and get the 48,900k that they would not budge on! I will try and post some pics when I get it.

Keep looking for 13 models on Autotrader. There has to be more out there with under 10k miles. If this ones going to be a keeper I'd definitely take a 12 or 13 slightly used over new.

Build the Z/28 and go with the Heartbeat blower? Best of both worlds and save $?
