ZL1 Afterburner Tailights

Well I need some info from anybody who has bought the afterburner tail lights to clear up something for me. I see there are LED lights then some with the halo lights then some with bright lights and some with soft lights. What the hell!! What I would like is lights with LED bulbs and with the halo for my Z. Does any one even offer those? My next question is how hard are they to install? Any help from someone who has installed them please tell me how hard/easy is was to do. Thanks

Easy as long as you don't mind removing and cutting open perfectly good ZL1 tail lights... Seriously, easy.

Not normally. They're usually sealed in order to keep them water proof.

That looks really good. I was hoping the 2014 refresh would have had tail lights similar to those instead of what they ended up with.

I did mine also and yes they work great and look great BUT what a pain in the ass!!! I'll go ahead and mention Ive got MAN hands kinda like grape ape! LOL!! And there is not much room in there for them to get to those two little nuts in the far back corner! And that's just to get them off! When you go back in now you have the harness and that big ole battery looking thing in there as well taking up more room! Needless to say I couldn't do it that last bolt in the corner on each light so I left it out but lights are on and it looks good so eff it!! FYI carefull with bezels found the easiest way for me to get them off was to slide a razor blade between each tab to hold it open then the bezels slide right off. Good luck! Hope you have small hands. Was it worth it? Yes!! Will I do it again? NO!!! took like 4hrs and bloody knuckles on top of that.

Not my video but I installed these on my car.

These are mine with the LED. From several feet away they all wash into one and don't stand out like a bunch of little LEDs. The LEDs really stand out in the day and night. Here is a right up I did some time back if you decide to go forward with doing the install yourself.
