i'm being told it may not be done with my exhaust

i was going to be buying a full cat-back, and i had the idea of making it have the center tips. in other words, like the corvettes or lambos.

the muffler shops i've called say it can not or big chance it is not possible. due to the fact that the gas tank is in the center?

how can this be true if Magnaflow has the exact idea i have already made.
i would go with the magna flow but i hate the sounds. i was looking into ARK or even the V8 CHERRY BOMB system.

i know it will call for cutting, which i dont mind but are the shops being honest or even know what they are talking about ?

it wont work with the current rear fascia, you will need to buy one that is designed for it.

Also if I'm not mistaken, they make it work by having the exhaust hang down below the tank so you end up losing 3" of ground clearance.

You will likely get better answers in the exhaust section, where this will probably get moved anyway. Good luck.

Your car isn't a Lambo or Vette. I know you'll lose MASSIVE amounts of hp by not having center exit exhaust. But trust me, it sounds exactly the same exiting out of the stock location.

Oh, and I have the Cherry Bomb cat-back. It's a beautiful sound. Just get a let of long tube headers to go with it.

i say go for it! if you like the look get it! and post pictures.

as far as being possible, depends on what you want to do. i would see it being very easy if you did it like a muffler delete. and just came straight back with the pipe. very close to the magnaflow system... print out this picture: and take it to the shop or send it via email and see what they can do.
