Will the interior of my 2SS gray leather be two tone?

I'm wondering now that I have seen photos of both two tone gray, and all solid gray, how do I know what I'm getting with my order? I am hoping it is the two tone gray. It looks great in the photos I've seen on here. I don't remember seeing it as an option to choose when placing my order. Any definitive answer on this? Thanks ! I'm at 3400 since 4-18 on my 2SS/RS ABM 6 spd man with sunroof an 20" polished alum wheels.

If you get the light gray interior (which I think is just called gray), the seat inserts will be light gray, the carpet will be light gray, and the pillar covers and headliner will be a gray-ish off-white color.
I sat in one today. It is very attractive. Much better than the all black IMO.

It would be nice if the inserts were gray but they left the carpet and headliner black in color. The light color on the floor is hard to keep clean and the light headliner just looks out of place.

Hu,
I'd like to see this color combo in person. Is there one in STL?

I like it. Spurs Edition. Grey lot easier to clean than the beige.

When at first a few auto makers started using black carpet on most all their models, I thought it was okay. It made them look sportier, IMO. I notice GM did it with the Pontiac G6, then Subaru did it for the Legacy, and now Honda even does it for the top of the line Accord. Now, it just looks cheap to me. It's like the manufacturers are too darn cheap to make a carpet in any color other than black. I bet Cadillac, Lexus, BMW and M-B don't go to all black carpets.

I'll take the gray leather/gray carpet any day.

Nope. My '07 Lexus IS has the optional grey interior but the carpet is black. Looks good that way and doesn't look dirty.

The original question was about two tone. Is this the grey leather interior? Is it automatically two tone? From a prior thread it is. But now that we have production cars out...is this still true?

Even the gray Cloth is two tone so I would imagine the leather would still be.

Too much gray. It clashes with the black on the seats and door panels.

Does someone have pics of a "neutral" interior? I believe we have in that instance the perfect combination of black carpet, black headliner, black doors, black seats, with neutral colored door panels and neutral colored seat inserts.

Now if we could get them to swap the gray and neutral colors and make the gray just like that it would be 5.451 googolplex percent better looking!

The one that we saw yesterday was just passing thru. So I don't think there's another one right now. I suppose you could call the dealers to see what they have coming in. Or better yet, go to Heinz's spread sheet and look at what's coming in to the dealers.

It looks way better than just black. A few people had remarked that the interior was kind of claustrophobic, but with the gray interior, it's much brighter and feels more spacious.
And the gray just breaks up the monotony of the black.

If you're worried about the light carpets, just do what I do.
Go to Wal-Mart and buy some cheap bath towels that match the carpets. Put them down first to cover all the carpets. Then buy a set of aftermarket mats and put them over the towels.
The carpets will never get dirty.

I like the contrasting color. I wish the beige interior had matching carpet and headliner. The 4th gens were like that.

For those that want black good. But for those who want some other color the interior has still too much black in it.

Yeah mine was ordered with the gray leather it looks bad ass but the carpet color seems dumb, even the tan has black carpet. Does anyone have pics of the gray interior with the black mats curious on how it would look.

The gray carpet will be black in a year or two. Learned my lesson on light color carpeting.

funny... last weekend i was talking with Cheryl Pilcher about the gray interior & she said she fought so hard with Holden to get something without black everything. i patted her on the back (woulda hugged her but she was driving) & gave her a huge 'thank you'.

she said they wanted at least one interior that didn't make you feel like you're siting in a dark cave. i just wanted something un-black - that junk gets way too hot around these parts

My wife's H-3 is Black / Black........the carpet shows EVERYTHING....along with scuff marks on the BLACK door pannels. All the colors have their problems. My 2SS will be IBM with Silver stripes...so I went with the gray leather and carpet....and I think it will look extremely sharp!

I don't plan to be as hard on my Camaro as I was on my Suburban. (no pun intended for the use of camaro & hard on in the same sentence)

Please tell Cheryl......Thank you for the grey carpet and the sunroof also. I think that was another item she fought for as well. With the Grey and the sunroof the car actually feels bigger than it really is. Combined with ABM, No RS, and polished wheels. It ended up being a very rare combination.
