Unhappy CORSA exhaust, not what i was thinking

I bought my 2SS LS3 used with 6k miles on it. The previous owner had installed a Corsa Cat Back. I've had the car for two months now and after seeing/hearing other Camaros the Corsa is not the sound I like. To me the sound is a little high pitched and metallic (if that makes sense). I like the deeper, throaty sound of my friends MBRP, and i've been told the Magnaflo is similar.

question is can i achieve a different pitch with the same exhaust by adding headers or high-flow cats in front of the current exhaust? Or will it just amplify the same pitch?

If you have no resonator add a resonated x pipe, and yes headers make a great difference, but they need tunes. The headers will change the tone towards your desired sound for sure, the aftermarket cat backs are designed to have headers

Adding headers will make your Corsa sound more aggressive but the tone would be similar. Corsa has a unique raspy kind of tone. Some people don't like it some people have to have it. I'm sure you can sell it on the board pretty easily and we can probably get you in a MBRP or a Magnaflow system for what you get out of the Corsa system. CHeck out our site and shop around, we have tons of exhaust options and video up for most!

I am not a big fan of Corsa on these cars. It is fairly quiet..even with headers. No scenerio is worse than having a customer buy one of the most expensive exhausts you sell only to call back a week later looking to replace it because it is not aggressive enough.

The Corsa sound is like twin Honda fart-cans. Never liked it. The only positive thing about Corsa is that they don't drone.

I'm ok with loud, as long as its a deep rumble to match the muscle of the car.

I think my setup matches what you are looking for in an exhaust. I have the Kooks 1-7/8" LT heads/highflow cats and 3" magnaflow comp catback with X pipe. There is a video of it in my Build Journal. Just click the link in my sig its the 2nd post.

As the ex-owner of a honda with a fart can and current owner of corsa+longtubes, I take offense to that statement!

Although, to be honest, the no drone of the corsa is what sold me. I only vaguely considered tone. Still love the sound at WOT, though.

Get the JBA stainless system if you want Muscle car sound. It has a H-Pipe and runs about $600.00 online.

Just my o2

Everyone is gonna give you the 2 cents. Go to a meet and hear it for yourself. Most camaro guys are cool and wouldn't mind taking you for a ride to hear it. Make you decision based on what you like not what people write on the boards. I did and completely happy with my setup.

Being an owner of corsa and ARH longubes and not liking honda's I take offense to that, not that I care LOL. But you need to hear an LS3 with corsa and ARH longtubes and I bet you will change your mind.
