(PICS & VIDS ADDED) Technostalgia install

got to be the most pain in the azz install ever, cant be nothing out there worse to install, hands are still hurting, took 6 hours to replace 4 simple tailights. jeez why did gm make those tailghts so hard to get to! and those chrome trim rings, jeez m*%*@@*%*fr

now these led lights have got to be the coolest install you can do, if you can get over the install itself you will be glad you bought them as they are cool as heck, best mod i think you can get.

will post pics shortly

6 Hours? Did you take a 5 hour break in the middle?

Mine took about 6 hours as well but that was with plenty of beer breaks lol. Actual install time about an hour. But I have already had my bezels off before to paint them. The 2nd time removing the bezels they came right off.

The bezel removal is an easy art if you have the right tools and know the tricks!

That being said, I think we spent about 5 hours on the install of mine too. The Vert has smaller openings for the Tail Lights and the Outside Lower Most Nuts are terribly hard to get to! We wasted at least 45 minutes because I dropped one and we couldn't find it (must have fallen into the bumper cover somewhere). I replaced it with a washer and standard nut for now.

But these look great, being that you are a Vert which makes you a Late 11, what color wires are on the actual load resistors that you installed? You may need the other set as the BCM was reprogrammed. See my posts about what mine looked like here.

i got the sequential, they are cool, you will love the lights, but they are a pain in the ass to install. its not the led lights its just the location of the lights in general, im assuming the convertibles are harder to install since the pockets where the lights are mounted at the factory are a lot smaller, so if you get them it will be tough but worth it, i will post pics soon. it takes longer than 30 minutes just to get out the bezels, if your not careful you will break the tips off, but they do go back in easy!
