Oh, and to answer -- I'd lose with great humility to such an awesome car.
The SS and 6 are not that far apart on the AC course. We saw that with Rob's rental last year. The extra HP, rubber and brakes in the SS are offset by the superior balance of the six. The ZL1 takes that to a different level almost doubling the 6 in HP, with a HUGE sway bar advantage along with 'race track ready rubber'.

It was a bit cool in Texas today. I had to wear long sleeves with my shorts and flips.

I gotcha!

So I'll be thrown in the same group as those 2010 SS with CTS-V brakes, 19x10.5 Forgeline wheels, Bridgestone RE 11 305/30/19/XLs, 590 RWHP normally aspirated RWHP on a ZL1 Justice Package with Supercars cars.....wonderful.

Well than I will bring some orange duct tape to keep them usable, OR wait until Sunday when you can't buy carry-out alcohol in Indiana!

Okay, this will be my first C5Fest. I don't want to miss out on anything! I an a seriously green rooky to all of this. I have run Ruby a few times on a 1/8th mile drag strip & a few times on a 1/4 mi track. That is IT. I have never driven on an autocross track, BUT I WANT TO!!!!!!!!!!!! I need a coach. I need to be sure I understand what I need to do to Ruby to "secure" things. I do have a brand new helmet. I am willing to do what I can to help but I am clueless. So educate me (and probably a bunch of other rookies who won't ask).

PS: It does not sound fair to me for someone like me with a 1LT with only a CAI intake & Borla exhaust to be "modified"? Really???????? Okay whatever. I am just in it for fun anyway. (BTW I did beat a supercharged SS at the drag strip! ........once)

Like Pete explained earlier in autocross V6 vs V8 won't be much of a difference. Driver skill will come first and then the performance upgrades will chip in and they won't do much either unless you have some bad ass suspension work done.

I wouldn't be worried about being schooled at the autocross, I personally know i will have a terrible time the first time out, because I will be concentrating on learning the course first and then the subsequent runs I will be letting her loose

That's the best way to compete in these events, learn in your first run and then progressively start speeding up on your each run after wards.

Women that autocross are frequently faster than the men. They are smoother and don't drive by testosterone. Having a ladies class would by default infer that men are better drivers and you both know that isn't true. To prove the point I think you should challenge GTAHVIT to a grudge match on the AC. Why not? Everyone else has
