You do know a WHOIS expiration date has nothing to do with the hosting domain right? It's the two years basic records management retention period. After 2 years they are no longer required to keep it - so why waste the hard drive space.
But yea - I'm kind of shocked people are still wanting to give these guys money.

We'd never know because they've banned anyone but rabid supporters from their facebook, twitter, and youtube accounts. Though I really doubt that any comments are from real buyers, I can't imagine anyone saying "I expect nothing but the best from you..etc," when G5 has never generated anything except falsehoods for 21 months.

Hey! They posted another video yesterday from their townhouse garage. Note how far back they set the camera. Can still tell that the doors tilt down when covering the lights and are still not aligned. Adding that silver bar across the whole assembly makes it obvious.

Getting closer though - too bad they had to string people along for 2 years with all those broken promises. They try to blame us for creating "drama", when they did that all by themselves.

Not to see ill upon them or anything but just reminded them to renew their website if they haven't already received notices.

I don't think they're con men. Just inexperienced, unprofessional business men who aren't good at planning. The proof is their videos, comments on the videos, pics, and comments on FB.

Unrelated to what was posted above, let's be careful not to violate any forum rules here.

I really want this thread to stay and I bet real money G5 would want this thread to go remove any history of problems. Just guessing.

So far, its looking really good to me. Can't deny that, though I still question the durability.

But my big question is:
Ok, lets say you finally build one. Can you re-produce this several times to fulfill orders??!! If 7 orders come in, then what?

My apologies to anyone if I have violated any forum rules with my post. Guess I didn't think that something that was public record would violate any rules and I'll not post like that in the future.

For what it's worth, I had a very vested interest in this project as I was one of the first supporters of it by sending them full payment back in April or May 2011, whenever it was they first announced the grille. I took the risk fully expecting the grille delivery later that year. As the months went on (and remember is this only a few months into the project) I was not comfortable with the numerous "we had something to show you but...." posts they had. I became very suspect when they said the grille was being shipped to SEMA to place on a car and then it was damaged..so no photos to share...and somewhere in that time they started with the first "delay" posts. In November 2011 I decided to pull my money back and did it thru my credit card company, who supported my request for a full refund. I got my money back and moved on to spend it on other mods already on the market. I have been interested however to see if they did ever get a grille delivered to anyone. All of you know the on going story and at this stage even if they did get a working model it's hard to place any faith in them. Bad marketing plan if you are trying to sell a product. I won't summize anything else about where this is headed for the product, people can make their own decisions, so I once again apologize if I somehow violated posting rules :-) The lesson I learned for the future is that I will never send real cash to a company who does not have a real product ready to send to me

If we've violated any of these rules, please point out which:

Welcome to our family-friendly corner of the internet! Below are some basic “house rules” we live by so you, our valued members, may continue to enjoy the website!

1) Respect & Be Helpful — By far, the most important rule here. Generations of GM enthusiasts have come together through a shared passion for the car and the community, so the golden rule applies: Treat others as you wish to be treated. This means no foul language, insults, or rude remarks towards other members.

We’re here as a family of enthusiasts, and we should act accordingly. And since the site is constantly gaining new members, please go out of your way to help answer others’ questions in an effort to make this an even better community. Shunning new members’ questions or rudely telling others to “search for it” is extremely discouraged.

2) Agree to disagree — We encourage spirited discussions where members can contribute to the forum, and we understand that not everyone will be in agreement on a particular subject. However, repeated opposing posts with disrespectful intent to ‘win’ a debate will be moderated accordingly.

3) Off-topic forum — This should be self-explanatory. All non-model specific related discussions should take place in here.

4) Suggestions — Part of the beauty of being a member here is that we value your input! If you have a thought or idea that might improve the site, post it in the Site Announcements/Suggestion Forum. We promise to do our best to accommodate reasonable suggestions.

5) No “Thread-Crapping”/Vendor Feedback — do not ruin another member’s sale thread (or any other) for any reason. Feel free to report an objectionable post, or just don’t post in the thread! Like Mom used to say, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all!” Just move on. This applies to members’ and vendors’ threads alike.

Vendor classifieds threads are protected from competing product mentions, criticisms, and complaints. All feedback, both positive and negative, may be expressed in the Vendor and Seller Review Forum.

6) Off-Limit Discussions — There are a few topics for which we have zero tolerance policy based on past experience or simply the nature of the topic. They are: Politics (automotive-related regulations discussions are allowed), Religion, Pornography, Law Enforcement-Bashing, and Street Racing. Any posts of this nature will be removed without warning or notification at a moderator’s discretion.

7) Members Classifieds — You are allowed to advertise items for sale in the Members Marketplace/Regional Local Marketplace sections ONLY (i.e. do NOT place for-sale items in signatures). You MUST create your own thread for your items; do not “piggy-back” off another member's classified listing.

8) Models/Photoshoots — All postings of this nature will be restricted to the Off-Topic Section of the website. These posts must be appropriate for the family-friendly atmosphere we maintain on this site; models must be clothed (bikinis are okay), and poses must not be suggestive or erotic in nature. Violation of this rule may result in the deletion of pictures at the discretion of the moderators without notification.

9) Signature Limitations — Height: 200 pixels; No animated images. We apologize for any individual inconvenience, however this results in threads that are much easier to read, and load much faster so you can make the most of your time online!

10) Vendors Policy — Contact Tran for details. In short: only paying vendors/sponsors are allowed to conduct any commercial/advertising activity on the public forums or via private messaging. Doing so without sponsorship will result in account suspension.

--- 10a) Vendor Bumping — Please do not abuse the use of "bumps" to float your thread back to the top of the thread listings (in particular by deleting old "bump" posts and posting new ones). Admins and moderators have sole discretion to determine what constitutes abuse of bumping, but it generally means more than 2-3 unsolicited bumps a day.

11) No Double Accounts — Each person is allowed to have only one single account on the site. Double accounts will result in possible suspension of all accounts.

12) Moderator Discretion — All posting activity on the forums is monitored and subject to disciplinary action based on the discretion of the admins and moderators beyond the rules specifically outlined above in an effort to serve the community at large.

The only one that could be argued is number 5 but this is not a sale thread and it is not a vendor's thread. At the most, it could be moved to the vendor's review area.

That being said, considering that G5 is still attempting to sell this thing, has a demonstrated history of falsehoods, and bans/purges critical posts and questions, we are serving the greater community by shining the light of truth of what has been going on over there for the past 2 years.

My post was misinterpreted. I'm not saying you violated rules. It was a general statement to everyone. I really like the comedic nature of this thread and honestly, this is one of my top 5 favorite threads evar. And I've been in on the internets for years.

Two (possibly more) ******* threads were closed or deleted because people got too heated and making weird comments.

If you check the history of this thread, I and another person looked up these guys too.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...23#post4871923

The ******* grille lost momentum so I'm sure this thread will stay open as no one is super compassionate about the subject now.

Here is a partial list of missed deadlines and this was back in April, 2012.
The shipment of bolts from china not arrived (or whatever the issue was) was one of the best.

The 2012 missed photoshoots explain it all. If they just NOW finished putting it on the car, what were the photoshoots in 2012 supposed to be??
A cardboard cutout? A long piece of paper with a drawing of the grill on the car or a message saying "Insert cool, awesome grille here".

What are they thinking??

they are thinking people will keep holding onto that string they are dragging them along on, and apparently they are correct...theres still some hanging on....

I agree with what has been stated before, even if they really do get a working one in production, the past example of their idea of business ethics would lead you to think any dealings after the fact would be just as shady and unethical.......but there will still be people pointing and saying...look, we told you they would get this out and working......forgetting the lies and misrepresentations for years leading up to it

Can you imagine having to call them with an issue with your grille, assuming you ever received it?
