Out of fairness to your dealer, that looks like one hell of a good job! That's what this car's all about - getting your car the way you want! Incredible paint work on their part - gets MY

Any paint and body shop can do this since its pretty simple, even the ones at the dealerships. But if you want the best "bang for your buck" I would take it to a reputable paint shop in your area and for just a little more you can pick your own colors and get some airbrushing inside the stripes. Ghost flames, skulls, pearls, metallics, ect... And you could also help mix your own color and make it truly part of who you are.

Your right, any reputable shop can do this, but I had these guys do it because this guy worked at the dealership and he did warranty work on 69 Z's so he is very skilled and experienced. It took a couple of days to get the rear ones just right (tape on , tape off, tape back on etc.) So it might look simple, but believe me is was work.

Wow that looks great.
They did a great job.

Just a suggestion, you should edit the first post and say they were painted on.

These glossy stripes look AWESOME!!! And here I was just starting to get used to the idea of the flat black ones. Wish it wasn't too late to change my order and save $470 but oh well, hopefully that means my car will be here soon.

That looks so fuc&ing nice! So, who in the Camaro design group decided that flat stripes were a better choice?

Yeah it does..It is custom since it isn't stock..

Wow man, I was going to happy with the flat black factory stripes on my IOM, but you are making me change my mind.

The CUSTOM stripes you got makes it look 100x better, wow what a shine..

Your car looks great! I'm definitely skipping the factory stripes and going straight for custom painted.

I am so mad you posted these pics!!!! Your stripes look incredible!! I was all set to stick with the flat black dealer installed stripes. I wanted glossy, but the flat wasn't "that bad." Now seeing these glossy painted on stripes, I am going to have to pony up for something like this on my SIM!!!!! I'm going to put the money saved on the dealer stripes towards something like this.

What about clear bra?

Have any of you given thought to protecting the front with a clear bra. Of course if it will garaged and only taken out on clear sunny days I doubt you'll need to. But mines going to be driven every day. All my other vehicles have them on.
I'd love to hear some other options other than garaging it.

cars are like women, some are old, some are new, some get turned on easily some need a lot more help, some you just wanna drive into the river, some you can't wait to get inside of, some are expensive to maintain, some are low maintenance, however if you treat them right, you'll have her for the rest of your life.....

Awesome job on the stripes!! Makes me glad I held off on the GM stripes. I was thinking of doing the same as you did with the VR I ordered. Thanks for the pics reinforces my decision. Just don't know if I will be able to do it as quick as you did.
