JL Audio XD400/4 Question

This is for those that have replaced the stock BA amp with the JL XD400/4. I've had the XD400/4 installed for some time now and have been thinking about upgrading it to the
XD600/6, but before I pull the trigger on that, I would like to know if anyone here has the XD400/4 running a set of component speakers in the front doors in the bridged mode with the rear 6×9's being powered by the stock head unit or an aftermarket head unit.

No but I was considering doing that with the 800/8 JL amp.

Just bridging front and reArs and running components both front and rear and sub.

I have the XD 400 in and JL c2. 650 speakers in front. I put the JL c2-690 in rear...

I also am running kicker 12" sub with kicker 400 mono amp

So you currently have jl speakers in the cab and a kicker sub set up in your trunk and you are looking to upgrade the XD400 to the XD800? Looks like you have a similar set up to mine, just different speakers. I know a lot of members on this forum have or were looking to purchase the XD400/4 and I was hoping someone has tried bridging that amp to some component speakers in the doors and could provide some feedback on what they thought of that setup.

I can overdrive the fronts as it is without bridging the amp.

I think I have the gains a little past 1/3 on front and about 10 o'clock on rears and I have to pull back on volume controls because I can overdrive the speakers.

If you bridge, you'd better have some speaks that can handle the power.

I haven't done the 800/8 amp precisely for that reason.

I am contemplating changing the rear c2-690 JL speaks to components given the better sound quality. Just don't know yet
