Is it worth to trade up to a 2012

I am in the process of having my car traded up for a 2011 or 2012. I can get into a 2011 for nothing and if I wanted to move to a 2012 fo $3300 out the door. Are the changes enough to make the move for the difference in cost?

I would do it at the same price, but not pay for it.

I already argued that .... I can swap the 2011 for the same price but the 12 will cost me....with the minor changes is it worth it?

The new steering wheel is oogly, the power passenger seat is ok (I just installed spacers on the rear of my passenger seat and my 5'2" wife can see much better now), the rear view camera can be installed on a 2011 for under $300, the dash looks a little different and so does the speedo/RPM font.

I don't think it's worth it.

I was thinking that too. With 0% for 72 and not that much of a difference between them it makes morse sense to save the money.....

Yeah, you would be crazy not to jump on that 0% for 72.

I don't think I ever made a thread for it but I might tomorrow. It's really easy actually. The passenger seat is only held in by two very long bolts on the rear, the front kind of slides into some tabs. All you have to do is take the rear bolts out, and put in some 1/2" tall spacers in between the seat frame rails and the floor(I used a couple of fat nuts). The rear of the seat has two pegs that fit in the floor, I didn't want to go crazy and put too tall of a spacer that the pegs wouldn't go back in the holes. Just retighten the bolts and you are good to go.

I'll try to do a write up tomorrow.

I say stick with the 11.

Don't worry, both the 11 and 12 have the same high quality convertible top.

Now all you need is to get the 2012 steering wheel , the prior wheels feels clumsy is hell and also stock the 2012s handle way better. I am glad I traded.

Just got a call from the dealer-----Well, looks like I will be going with a 2012. I should be getting a 45th anv, auto hopefully tomorrow. They need to ask another dealer for the trade, should work out. I think it is a fair deal... They take my messed up 2011 with a bad top (x2) and I get a 2012 f0r $3000. To complete the deal they will be tossing on the GFX kid at no charge. Since I was thinking about adding it anyway I thought it was a good deal. In this case I think it is a good trade up--

Do it bro I picked my 2012 LS3 Yesterday and out of the box off the show room floor it has better suspension that doesn't need modding if you are not hardcore. I like my 2012 LS3 way better than the 2011 L99. No radius rod bushing issues like the prior Gen 5s thank God, steering wheel isn't that bad when you are in front of it, newer 2012s has better more refined factory tune and my 2012 LS3 is faster than my tuned 2011 L99.

I did it yesterday... I had to pay 3k but they tossed in the GFX ground effects package. So far I am glad I did... Went with a 45th anniversary ... the color is amazing.
