Guys,
Seems that someone stated awhile back that the pre-orders had a code that would give the pre-order group something special. Any idea what iy is or if this is true?

Brake weights

Aside from the welcome package, and RPO code on our sticker, everything seems to be standard.

Wait, what? True fans that preordered are already getting cars? I thought only people who ordered in April got their cars...LOL.

I was under the impression that there was supposed to be some sort of special badging on the interior.

The welcome kit was a picture of original concept design.

There was random speculation that hoped GM might do something like this, as they did with the G8, but it never was official. I pre-ordered in January.

no no no...our special suprise i sthat we all get to watch our cars collect dust while they sit in Michigan...then when we are really getting excited, we get to watch orders from March get built and delivered before ours!!!
That is our special pre-order suprise

Ask guys like trm0002 and others with cars VIN's below 1000 .... a big head ache from beating their heads against the wall wondering where the first week of production has been camping.

I ordered on in October as well, changed from CGM to Black, and got my VIN on Friday 4372. Expected by May 3rd.

Just thougtht the special RPO code would provide a little something extra....other than the brake caliper weights

The RPO code is considered special because if GM builds 100,000 camaros for 2010 only est 14,000 will have rpo.

The only thing GM did for preorders are the locked in lower price if you ordered before April 1, wich only saves you a few bucks. Plus, if you were on here a few months ago you got to participate in the speculation about stripe length, complete ambiant lighting, telling them to put the two blues on the SS, and other exciting "discusions" that went on. LoL

standard equipment should include status updates on your order---that would be special and awesome. With this much excitement about this car you'd yhink your dealer would keep you up to date. Recently asked for my EVENT code and was told "Sorry can't give it to you." WTF

I ordered in December and yet see people that ordered after me further along them me...kind of pisses me off to be honest like the people that ordered before me are probably thinking.
