sticker free sun visors

OK. Whomever sent me their sun visors (don't remember your user name - sorry). One is done and am working on the other one tonight. I also may have thought of a new/easier way to remove the stickers. Going to try that out, and if it works I will write up a DIY

Here's the DIY: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=206936

Someone told me a hair dryer gets them off. Guess that's not really the case? Would a heat gun be too hot?

The best advice I could give is try and remove them the day you take delivery of your Camaro using a hair dryer. That is what I did and mine peeled right off without any issues. This was the first mod I performed.

My idea was to use isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), soak a paper towel with it and lay it ontop of the sticker. No dice. It appears that the only method is the hair dryer + putty knife approach.

OK. So I have a theory, well pretty sure its a fact; the older your camaro is the harder it will be to remove your stickers. That in mind, I went online to GM Parts House to find the part number:

http://store.gmpartshouse.com/parts/...onent=Sunvisor

So here's the thing. I'm willing to experiment with this. I'll go halvies with someone on a new visor, and then I'll fiddle with it and see if I can get the sticker off. I'm more than happy to fiddle with this and find a way to get the stickers off, just would like someone to help eat the cost with me.

Mine are stuck like glue !! I can't even get a corner to start lift . I think i'll just cut a piece of vinyl and cover them for now .

I got an Idea. Why not just leave them alone, And write it off to being kept orignal. How much are 1967 Camaro's that are all 100% orignal worth? with all orignal stickers in place.. Its something to consider and less of a petty thing to have to monkey with and spend more money. But then again, if you have allready chopped things up and modded it out.......its not a virgin anymore then. its just another camaro thats been played with.

I respect those who want everything 100% original, but in today's world it is unlikely the cars will have the same collectibility 45 years from now as a 67 does today. With that being said... To me it's all about making it my own.
