Looks like the weather forecast went a little to the bad side on us.
With a 30% chance of getting a little shower around 4:00pm.

But I will still be there.

Anyone been to Rudy's BBQ on the west loop?
The parking is good.
And the BBQ is good too!

Our car club first meeting was 02/11/2012, so first meeting this February should be our first year anniversary for car club, officially would be following Monday to be one year but our first meeting 02/09/13 should work for a one year milestone.

Looks like weather will keep Elvis in storage, see you cats later

Rudy's would be tasty. We could meet at the usual spot, hang around for a little bit, then drive over as a group. Thoughts?

Since it's not threatening severe weather this time, I'll be there--and we know Nick will.

Catch can installation questions

I got the Elite Engineering one thru Apex because of the back order time on the RX can. Once I saw the design & quality of the Elite one, I'm glad its the one I installed. Look at www.eliteengineeringusa.com for the straight forward install instructs and pics.
I'll be happy to show you and describe what it takes at our next club meeting.
Corky,

Looks like you have to unscrew bottom part of can in order to empty oil contents, is this correct ? Is it easy to unscrew this ?

Also, when you reinstalled the idler pulley, how did you get the correct tension back on the belt to be sure tension correct?

Thinking of buying one for Elvis, but I would like your supervision when I install, is this possible in the future. I would not attempt it by myself.

Yes, unscrew the bottom half of the can. It has machined threads with an o-ring to seal - easy to undo. For the idler pulley, there is no play with the 2 bolts so u just tighten 'em up. The spring tensioner on the idler assembly takes out the right amount of slack on the belt. My biggest problem was figuring out how to undo the connectors on the wiring, etc harnesses.

Car is clean again. Got a wash, detail, and clay barring yesterday. Hope to get a new coat of wax on today.

And get a catch can on order.

Well I better get busy.

Will be a no-show for this next one. Our most senior engineer just handed in his two-week notice today. Guess who just inherited network design and security responsibilities for the city? This guy.

Haven't seen that yet. Curious what I'd have to do to secure the upper mounting points. Notice the writing on the box in the link u posted for the Camaro says for "Mustang"?!
