Ghost Cam 2010 Camaro SS V8 L99 request - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I posted this in the tuning section but Id figure I would try it here in the exhaust section....
Im looking for someone who has done the ghost cam from trifecta that Vince has made but has it done on there 2010 Camaro SS V8 L99. I know there is a couple around and I would like to hear them. If so can you please record a video of how it sounds from close to a somewhat far distance but not too far? I have been emailing Vince and I might get a ghost cam done along with some other stuff, but before that, I would like to get an idea of what the ghost cam sounds on a 2010 camaro ss. Please dont post the mustang video with the ghost cam. Ive seen it and heard it in person. It sounds amazing by the way. Oh and dont post the V6 Camaro either please.

Its possible. Vince from Trifecta told me he has done it and there is a member in the forums who has done it too.

He has done them with V6's and it actually sounds really good...never heard of a SS camaro getting a ghosted tune...have heard them on mustangs though.

Yeah I heard the V6 videos and they sound pretty good. My buddy has a 2011 mustang 5.0 with a ghost cam and it sounds really good. One of the guys here named chabbz182 has his 2010 Camaro L99 ghost cammed and he said it sounds good. He compares it to the mustang one and says it sounds close to it. There is one video on YouTube of an SS with ghost cam but it just sounds like my Camaro in idle ha.

These are the only two videos I can find and they sound pretty weak.

...yea, it is possible.. and they are an absolute waste of money.

Save up for the full supporting mods and add power to a great sound as well. Nothing... nothing will sound like a true stage II-III cam. Nothing.

Do you have one on or do you know someone that has one? If so can you please record a video. I'm referring to the ghost cam.

A proper ghost cam tune can only be done on a car with a DOHC engine with variable valve timing, ie: the 5.0 Mustangs, and the v6 Camaro... The sound is achieved from adding overlap of the intake and exhaust events at an idle. If someone attempted a ghost cam tune on the L99 it would never sound anything like a DOHC engine... The only way I could even think to come close to doing something on the L99 is to phase the cam back and forth, retarding and advancing it just to change how the engine is running, hence the sound... It would be totally useless and a waste of time.

I heard this before. IT IS POSSIBLE. Vince from trifecta has done it. I would like to hear it from somebody in the forum who has had it done. Not read about someone who hasn't done it and say its "IT'S NOT POSSIBLE". Sorry man, I don't mean to sound rude. I read that thread before too.

I sent Vince an email asking him about this and here is his responce:

So those 2 videos you posted are probably as good as it gets, hard to say.
