Taking Bets: Where is car #1080?
How much fun is this...
Earlier a GM CSR told me that the car is on the lot, waiting to be shipped. My dealer told me it has already been shipped. Last week, I was told it was shipped and the dealer had it in his hands. The dealer told me it was not the case. Just a few minutes ago I called to try to get a "Real" answer. Just now, just a few seconds ago, she informed me that she had 2 conflicting reports: 1 report said the car was built and shipped, and the other report said that the car had not been built at all yet, and, get this, she had to call the dealer to get clarification on this. The dealer? What? Of course it is not her fault, and my salesman must really hate me by now (but he never shows it!). She was very polite and I promise I didn't give her a hard time. Another CSR a couple of weeks ago told me he had been yelled at by several people looking for their Camaro's. I'm upset because I wish I could get a real answer, but I'm not about to tear any CSR a new a-hole. So anyway! Here's the best: Whoever here can tell me when I will get my car, or can tell me where my car really is, will win a donation of $50.00 to the SPCA or Centre Veterinaire DMV (Veterinary Medicine Center) in their name (or Camaro5.com). (I hit a cat with a car about 8 years ago and never really got over it). |

I drove a truck for 9 years. I hit all kinds of things. Not much you can do about it with a load of lumber on a flat bed. The dogs bothered me but a squirel, possum, cat, rabbit, bird,...........never really bothered me.
As far as where your car is, If your dealer can't tell you and GM can't tell you then how can we? This is really a weird thing if you ask me. It must be the startup that makes it hard to track. I would bet that 6 months from now someone ordering a car will be able to get much more solid info. |

it's in your dealer's garage - at home...under YOUR cover.
He is probably hoping you will get pissed and walk...then going to sell it for big coin, eh? I hit a cat about 10 years ago and it still bothers me. I was late for work and just trying to get to the office without getting yelled at and here came Fluffy making a bee-line for my bumper. I tried to miss it but SMACK * THUMP! Dead. Just my luck a cop came over the hill the other way and saw me smack the kitty. He pulled me over and made me pull the cat out of the street (luckily I had a towel in my car to pick it up with), then chastised me for killing an animal (like I didn't feel bad enough already!) The cat had a collar on and he made me take the damned thing to the house and tell the owner about what I did. This lady opens the door and here I am with a cop on my side and her dead cat wrapped in an old towel and she breaks down crying and screaming about her poor cat and what is she going to tell the kids... This whole time the cop is glaring at me and I am standing there utterly speechless. So I am late for work, holding a dead cat, probably going to get a ticket, mad about the lady not watching her pet and really not believing that this is happening to me. So I think I can diffuse the situation by offering the woman to let me pay for her cat. I pulled out my wallet and offered her the $75 bucks I had and she kind of perked up a bit. She took the money and I offered to bury the cat for her or put it someplace that she could do it with the kids. She tells me to put the cat in her garage so that the kids can say goodbye...so as I walk back with the officer to hopefully put all of this behind me, I notice him shaking his head. I asked him what was the matter. He told me that now he has to ARREST HER! I asked for what, and he said; " For selling PU$$Y!!!" |
