Any chance of UPS-ing bags there in advance? I do it for Sturgis when I go. I'm planning four people in the Camaro. I'm only 300 miles from the fest but clothes for 3 days and even minimal supplies seem like a stretch! Did I mention the three other people are women? Well, two of the are 5 and 8 but trust me, they learn to take the entire house with them early.

Security in the lot? Anyone ever have problems? Trailers in the lot? (Not for me!) My car has never spent an evening outside since transport or Oshawa. I'm a little of a freak about it whether I can help it or not. I'm fortunate to keep my car and love for the hobby alive with small children but I absolutely could never replace it. Timing really was everything for me when I bought. (super-long story!) I could picture four college guys with cordless impacts and a twelve passenger rental van making a year's tuition in a weekend if they worked the lots here. It's very public knowledge where all the cars are going to be for the weekend. I'd like to think that mine would be the last picked having stock wheels and tires but they would also appeal to the broadest market. In any event, it would be a vacation killer and it's the only one I will get this year. Buy locks? Would it help? Have people been respectful in the past two years with regard to door dings, beer bottle, etc.?

I'm stoked. So happy this is coming close to home for some of us!!!

Thanks!
I know what you mean about "packing the whole house".

On the matter of the parking lot, I don't think you will have anything to be worried about. There are enough of us going that the parking lot will probably be the safest place for your car during the whole trip. Other than at the track of course. Worst case scenario, we can hire Camaro5 member hrpiii to walk around the parking lot.

We are working on the backup hotels now. Once the host hotel fills up, we'll let you know what the next step is.

It's not a matter of "if", but "when" the host hotel books full.

The host hotel, I think, has about 400 rooms TOTAL...That said, I know of at least 100 that are booked for a smaller group that crosses over our dates...We originally agreed on 200 rooms to be set aside for Camaro5 Fest. But I've just confirmed with the hotel that they'll honor the discount rate up to the Cut-Off date for as many rooms as are available that weekend!

Any chance of UPS-ing bags there in advance? I do it for Sturgis when I go. I'm planning four people in the Camaro. You can ship bags to the hotel. But there is a handling charge. PM me if you really want to do this, I'll give you the information!

Security in the lot? Anyone ever have problems? Trailers in the lot? (Not for me!) My car has never spent an evening outside since transport or Oshawa. There's never been an issue in the parking lot. We WILL have overnight security...and remember -- dozens, if not hundreds of us will be awake and partying until at least 3 in the morning. You should be okay.

Other points to note: Because the host hotel isn't 100% ours, like the smaller buildings in the past were, we've arranged for a space of about 400 parking spaces be roped off SPECIFICALLY for us. So it will be easy to contain and monitor, not to mention that the only other people parking next to you will be Camaro owners that share the very same passion for their cars are you.

We look out for each other!

My prediction is those staying at the Hotel that are not going to C5 Fest will be having either their best vacation ever (if they like Camaros) or their worst stay ever (if they don't like loud cars and crazy Camaro fanatics! )
