Bay Area Meet & Greet 3/2

Hey everyone, I posted in the Camaros Limited meeting thread about interest in a monthly meet for dinner and to talk about what we want to do in the upcoming months. I was thinking the first Friday of every month we can pick a new place to meet up at.

For the first meet I was thinking of meeting at Jack's Brewing Company. I believe this one has a pretty big parking lot; so I'm sure we can get parking spots blocked off for us. Fremont seems to be a good location because everyone from Dublin and the East Bay won't have to drive all the way down to the South Bay, and people from the San Jose area don't have that far of a drive either.

Jack's Brewing Company Address:
39176 Argonaut Way, Fremont, CA 94538
Time:
8:00pm
Date:
3/2 Friday

I think a reasonable time to meet would be at 800pm, and that should give most people time to get off work and relax for a bit before grabbing a bite to eat.

Let know your thoughts or if you have other ideas!

Who's interested?

I work down the street from that hooters and the parking lot is kind of small IMO. Especially if a lot of us are going. Count me in though lol. But paciific commons is in Fremont and that has plenty of parking and places to eat. Milpitas has similar places to that as well.

Hometown buffet (Fremont) can accomodate 20 parking spots in a row on any givin night, and Hooters parking can be reserved against the back wall; someone will just have to show up a little bit earlier. Good call Josh, and thanks for being 110 %, and not bias.
Do you know how many cars we can fit against the back wall? We can always call and ask them to block off the section, otherwise i dont mind getting there early.

Could we possibly do it in milpitas or some other city close to fremont instead? Not a big fan of Officer Rosette.

looks like its going to be milpitas for dinner; 17 spots seems more than enough spaces for us.

What's wrong with going to hooters on a friday night? If we make a reservation there shouldnt be a problem getting us all seated.

Does anyone have a good reason why we should stay away from Hooters?

im trying to get as many together as possible, but want to meet in a central location. san jose to milpitas and santa clara to milpitas is about the same drive; as is also dublin or hayward to milpitas; if we keep holding stuff in santa clara, some people might not be able to make it because of traffic and the drive.

I'm open to suggestions for restaurants, but hooters seems good because parking will not be an issue. If we make reservations we won't have to stand around waiting to be seated.

IMHO you are on the right track. We basically need assurance of parking and a reservation wherever we meet. I haven't been to hooters in a very long time so I can't comment on food quality.

I'll be in the area on wed night, so i can take a look for other restaurants in the area...most of us have been to hooters so i thought that'd be a good place to meet at.

Josh- you're on the right track with the Fremont thing, good job! Personally, I'm not stepping foot in Hooter's unless they start hiring good looking men wearing Calvin Klein boxers.

I'm not sure I could get to Fremont by 7:30 on a Friday because I get home from work later on Fridays and 880 traffic is a nightmare but if you pick another place, I'll do my best to make it.

Elephant Bar & Grill, 39233 Fremont Boulevard, Fremont, CA is between 680 & 880. Parking doesn't look bad.

You know any good places in or around milpitas? You seem to know a lot of restaurants!

The Elephant Bar & Grill has a huge menu and is reasonable. Parking looks okay from Google maps. I was trying to find a TGIF but didn't see one. Most of the sports bars have small parking lots in Fremont.

However, I totally support a place that everyone would want to attend. Don't mind saving the typical male behavior for another day

I'm down for Elephant Bar, much better food , They closed Borders so there should be a little extra parking, If you want to park all in a row we would have to park near target and walk a little bit (not far).

Count me in on this one. Elephant Bar or Hooters. Either works.
