Smaller, lighter and more nimble. PLEASE!!

Decrease the weight. But, NOT the horsepower!!

Knocking a few hundred pounds out of the car would help fuel mileage without having to lose cylinders or cubes..

Here's my 2 Cents:

1. Full ABL Across the dash as originally shown with the 2006 Concept Car. It’s being done in other cars, why not in the Camaro.
2. Padded areas on the door (along the top) its where some of us rest our arms when driving.
3. Get rid of the “Tupperware” dash. I know, I know, a lot of folks, don’t care and this can degenerate into an endless “ Who needs padded dash” argument. If you can do it in a $20k Malibu, why not in the Camaro.
4. Proper Infotainement System with NAV built in. OnStar is too cumbersome and when used, is about 500 feet behind where you are. I have missed a lot of turns due to the delays.
5. Contemporary styling that reflects the spirit and heritage of the Camaro.
6. Integrate the Reverse Lights into a redesigned Taillight.
7. More optional Interior Colors. Ebony and Dark grey make the interior claustrophobic. It is why I ordered Inferno Orange for my Interior.
8. Slightly more open and taller window design. It would lighten up the interior.
9. Current Sun Visors are somewhat less than up to what one would expect in such a car.
10. Better clutch feel on the V-8 Manual equipped cars.
11. I know maybe this is controversial, but, competitor (price and performance) for the Boss 302. (Yeah, I know, I’m talkin’ Z/28 here.)
12. Eventually, will need to look at some form of advanced vehicle drive train technology. While fuel economy is an over-riding factor, we shouldn’t discount performance. Look at the Inifniti M Hybrid Sedan. Performance with Hybrid Technology is a great combination.
13. I will digress from many here. I don’t really care for adding antique nameplate badges to the car. This is 2012, not 1967.
14. Make summer tires an Option. There are a lot of folks, who would like to be able to drive their SS’s year round.

Otherwise, the suggestion (as you've said), will result in a more expensive Camaro right from the start...but...some would be okay with that.
Do without:
On-Star or any other "nav" gadgets..., heated, cooled, power, memory seats...really???...(3) speedometers??...

Add:
footwell, glove box, engine compartment courtesy lights..."Factory Hurst" shifter that actually looks like a Hurst shifter...more options for tire and wheel sizes...

3) Throaty exhaust sound for the L99 SS.
4) Memory seats
5) Climate control
+1 on 2, 4 and 5

Wife hates lack of visor light

The mail slot is awesome and makes the SS looks way better than the V6

for the love of god PLEASE DON"T MAKE WINDOWS BIGGER! i'd hate to think GM would take away from overall style to make it easier to get your fast food into the car....or an atm....get a grocery getter for that. that's my only DO NOT DO, please. thanks :P

My wish list. I know I won't see everything, if anything, but here goes -

1) Power passenger seat (oh, never mind, they finally did that!)
2) Nav system OPTIONAL for the yuppies that feel they need something trivial like that in a car they need to pay attention to the road in.
3) No dang T-tops. Never again.
4) Agree with others, offer all-season tire option
5) Rear gear options. Standard gear set with an optioinal deeper gear maybe?
6) Factory chrome wheel option (mentioned earlier)
7) I know it's an old complaint, but that SS mail slot still sucks after all these years.
8) If rear-backup cameras, etc. are mandatory, HUD should be too.
9) Dual-Auto-climate control. (The wife keeps jacking with the controls whenever we go somewhere!!!) Not so much in the truck, which has it.

Please find a way to use the front fascia and lip spoiler from the TF3 Camaro as well as the rear brake vents. They would most likely fit with the Z28, but if a mild body refresh is a possibility then this would be a great improvement.

  1. I realize the significant GM investment in Onstar but at least integrate that service into an in-dash infotainment system. Traffic, weather, music streaming integration. CUE?
  2. With manual transmission, cup holder usage is cumbersome. Relocate somehow at next interior redesign (provide door cup holder?).
  3. More GM Performance upgrades to further personalize your car while keeping your warranty intact
  4. Standard rear floor-mats.
  5. Swap steering wheel controls. My RX8 has audio on the left side and cruise on the right which just make sense to me intuitively IMO.

Don't get me wrong. I'm beyond happy with my car. I'm nitpicking small issues at OPs request.

Also when looking for a new blue, look no further than this pic. Guaranteed to be popular and I would be willing to pay extra.

I just had another thought on the back-up lights. I think they should be located next to the liscense plate, or maybe hidden in the difuser. I think the current location takes something away from the overall look of the car. Also rear floor mats should be standard IMO. Thanks for reading and can't wait to see what comes out next.
