No it's not a mod!!! My Pirellis look like drag slicks!!
I have 555Rs and they're decent enough. Grips better than the Pirellis did, but you have to be careful in the rain. They're more of a dry weather tire. If you don't want or need DRs then I'd go with the Invos.

Nah, I gots no business in the drag racing lanes. No need for DRs. Thanks!

I have to start somewhere. And it WAS $6 million... I'm whittling it down.

I have Nitto Invos in front. They're holding up fine.

But, I have Nitto 555R tires on the rear. I have a feeling they won't last as long.

I've heard folks say they get between 5 and 10k on the 555R tires.

Well then I suggest you go with some Invos. They're really nice tires and much better than the P Zeros.

I've only had mine on for about 3k, but I've heard between 5-15k depending on how often you track your car. I think I'm going to try the MT Street Radial IIs next.

I got to get some tires for my '91 now that this car is DONE. I will be replacing my rear Pirellis with the Invos more than likely. I got no business with those 555Rs at all

I'm planning to get a pair of MT Street II for the track.

Those are horrible if the roads get wet at all. But, they hook great.

My Pirelli fronts are fine. Look almost new. The rears though didn't hold up well at all.

Yeah that's the bad thing about most of these DRs. The 555Rs are supposed to be better in the rain than most and they're still far from great. I've learned to be careful in the rain with the 555Rs and I'm better with them than when I first got them. Lol!

My P Zero rears lasted about 15k or so. They were almost like racing slicks when I swapped them out.

I'm looking at getting a truck so I can trailer the car to the track if I need to because I don't want to worry about getting caught in the rain with it.

(The truck, of course, will be considered a mod for the Camaro.)

That would work, but I'm not going that route and I don't want to spend the money on an extra set of wheels/tires just for track use so I'll just have to deal. Lol.

I put off an alignment when I upgraded suspension parts. What I thought was road film on the back of the car was actually Pirelli parts Just $$$$ thrown away. I still got about 8k out of them.

I hear ya. I don't think I'll be buying track wheels this season. I will have to give it a go on my 20s. But, the long-term plan is to get 16's for the rear with MT DRs on the back and some skinnies up front for track days.

Hello, my name is MJ. A while back, I was diagnosed with OCMD (Obsessive Compulsive Modding Disorder) and am a mod-aholic like you all.

My affliction to modding began when I first took delivery in 2009. Although I've been in denial for some time, my wife convinced me check in to one of the government run Mod-Free centers for detox. It was not a pretty sight... was more like torture. For 5 days straight I was locked in a room full of tree-hugging environmentalist hybred owners that grilled me on things like if I knew how much my modding impacted the global carbon footprint, and how the lives of the rare yellow spotted tree frog are disturbed... Yikes, get me out of there!

My local sponsor is Ted at JRE. Whenever I have urge to mod, I just call Ted. He always tries to reason with me, but sometimes (actually all the time) I just give in and mod anyway. It's been 12 hours since I modded last.

My away from home sponsor is Justice Pete. (yes, my car is Pedderized)

(Pete, the LCA bracket and end links worked great, no more noise. Thanks!)
